  1. The issue happened when I updated to version and my exploit protection was off and it kept giving me the notification. It was so annoying to I tried to turn it on. It wouldn't turn on and i read on one forum restarting the programs would fix it. Then I ran into an error saying, "Unable to contact license server. Check your network settings or contact your system administrator for help." At this point i was frustrated so I decided to reinstall the program. I uninstalled and reinstalled, but the same error kept coming up and now It won't even let me activate it with my license key. Bu
  2. It would be really good if the updating of the consul, and therefore subsequent updating of the Clients was much easier. I have to frequently check the download link to see if I have downloaded the patch, but recently there was a situation where the download file name didn't change albeit that there was new content. It is hard enough to keep Virus protection up to date, but when you don't know there are updates it is more difficult and potentially more risky for the users.
  3. Have licensed premium version (Win7 64x). Had update program notification this morning. After doing so, the program won't start and says 'can't connect to server". Please help ASAP. Tks..
  4. My Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Home (Premium) v2.2.1.1043 dashboard says "your databases are out of date" (last update v2017.02.11.04). But when I click on Update or Fix Now I get "Unable to access update server" (computer is definitely connected to internet). Computer is Win 10 Pro. Defender is enabled. No other anti-virus or malware software installed.
  5. This is probably something I just don't understand or setup correctly. I have MB3 set to automatically update. I was under the impression that if there was a program update that it would be automatically be applied. It does not. Nor do I receive any notification that there is an update - either via MB3 or email. I usually find out about it from a 3rd party web site. Then I come to the forums and download the update and apply it. Is this normal and how the update process works? Thanks.
  6. Hi. How are you? I write to you because I have a very rare problem. It turns out that MalwareBytes Premium 3.1.2 detects as Exploit the videos of windows media player and vlc media player. When I have Action Mirillis open (capture program), the generated videos are automatically closed by MalwareBytes detecting them as Exploit. Other videos not created by Action are also closed. But if I have Action Mirillis closed, the videos are not detected as Exploit and they open without problems. What is happening? It is very rare because it has never given problems of this type.   7. According to one part of malware, I have the latest version but another part of the software says I need to update. I follow the instructions, click on the "restart computer" button, but it just keeps saying it needs to download and install the newest version. The orange window pops up occasionally to let me know. When I check for updates it says I'm current. I've been running on this computer for a few months without issue. It also seems to scan without issue. The only thing is the "need to update" loop I seem to be stuck in. mbupdatr.zip
  8. I have malwarebytes anti-malware home (Premium) I am constantly getting the synu-eu.exe.bid warning. I have updated the database but that has not helped. Do I need to update to 3.0? How do I do that? I have an active license with over a year remaining.
  9. Hey! Until today I was running MB just fine, updating just fine, but now when I try to update the database nothing happened. I ran a threat scan, nothing have been found. So I scanned with Windows Defender as well, nothing. So I went to take a look at the logs and found out that the program is receiving a http status code 400. It is weird because until yesterday (the last time I ran an update) it was running just fine.   10. I'm updating Window 10. Windows 10 Insider Preview 15063 gets stuck at "Downloading Updates 8%". I've turned off all the features of MWB, then rebooted my laptop. Now Windows 10 is updating. Is there an easier way to "Disable Malwarebytes" prior to updating Windows? Thanks, Dan
  11. I previously had an issue with my real-time protection turning itself off. Support gave me the information for uninstall old version (my automatic updates were not working) and reinstall. I saved my licensing information since the instructions indicate this will not carry over and I'll have to manually enter my licensing information once the new version has been installed. During the install I did have several errors pop up (too quickly to notate the errors), but I did finally get the update installed. Here is where my new problem comes in to play.   12. Every time I try to scan using Malwarebytes since upgrading to 3.0.6, it sits at attempting to update indefinitely, while rendering my computer unusable until I quit out of Malwarebytes.
  13. I have MBAM for Business and I keep getting "Signature Database Outdated" emails. The emails say Malware signature database is outdated by 10 day(s). I can manually update the signatures but I shouldn't have to. Why won't they update automatically? Is it a firewall rule or something? Possibly related is the fact that I get an message stating that Malwarebytes Management Console is unable to contact server to verify license key. It still lets me login though.
  14. Hi. I've been using my licensed copy of Malwarebytes for years and just recently it seems to crash when I try to do a Database Update. I would not have noticed but I wanted to do a manual scan (as opposed to my normally scheduled nightly scan) and it iis failing. If I look back at the logs, they seem to stop about 2 weeks ago.   16. I have been using your wonderful free version for a long time. When I was notified a new version was available, I updated from 221 to 305, and paid for two years. Now, I keep getting these popups! So, I've been reading this forum for three days now, and it is confusing. Is this new version working right? Should I uninstall back to version 221? If I deactivate my key, and uninstall it, the icon will be gone from the taskbar to update it! I'm old and cranky, and need help! Thanks!

  18. How do I make Malwarebytes check and download updates only on start up? Also disabling "Notify me if time since last update exceeds 24 hours" does not seem to anything, malwarebytes still notifies me of needing me to update after 24 hours...

  20. I am also having this issue. Computers show online and then offline even though I can ping them. Once I look at them, the srice is stopped. A reboot or starting the service appears to fix the issue so far. I have 300+ machines, local and remote. So it's really hard to keep tabs on which ones are having issues.
  21. Up until today, we were running both Forcepoint's Endpoint DLP agent and MBAE without issues. Today the update of MBAE from to version caused a massive influx of false positives for: Exploit code executing from Heap memory blocked BLOCK Exploit payload file blocked BLOCK C:\Windows\System32\QIPCAP64.dll I have read about issues earlier this year with Websense's endpoint agent, but we did not have any issues prior today. As of right now, MBAE is disabled across the network.
  22. Hi. I have the same problem with 44 out of 96 clients. The MEEClientService is not running on them, even though set to automatic and computers rebooted. If I start it manually, and set recovery for the service to restart after 2 fails, it comes back online, but I do not want to run around 44 pcs to do this. I have set the exceptions in AVG as described above. I have also raised a ticket with support but heard nothing back.
  23. Hello everyone. I recently got for me an Android Phone (version 5.1.1) I also got the Avast Anti-virus for protection. Strangely, Avast is downloading it's updates normally, but Malwarebytes still got no updates since 3 days ago (it says database version 2016.10.07.01). Is this a normal behaviour of the app?   24. I've already ran the MBAM clean removal process, and I'm still having problems. I can't even download the program directly from Malwarebytes, I had to find a download from Download.com because the download would never start. I've checked the site on my other computer and it works perfectly fine. I've already ran Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) and will post FRST.txt and Addition.txt below.   25. I have database updates scheduled for once a week and they never work. I get a pop up above the tray with a button to 'Fix' which does nothing when clicked. If I open Mbam I cannot find a way to update. See the screenshot and note that 'Fix Now' and 'Update Now' do nothing. How do I fix database updates? Thanks PC info: Win8.1 x64 with Mbam Premium
