  1. Hello, Forgive me if this has been answered already (couldn't find an answer when I searched), but I would someone please tell me if it's possible to add exclusions in MBAE? I just bought and installed it, but in the "Exclusions" area, there is no place to enter anything. I want to add my other antivirus programs so that it won't clash (or is that even necessary?). Thanks in advance! -PM
  2. Look this file please. I got a suspicious file from this site. Currently (404) Mbae wasn't worked (v1.05) File uploaded
  3. Since installing Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit on my computer and activating the shield for Google Chrome, I've noticed some strange behavior with it. Whenever my computer is running and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is not scanning, it works just fine, but I've noticed that whenever MBAM is running a scan, Google Chrome becomes very sluggish and often crashes. I started toying with deactivating and reactivating MBAE's exploit shield for Chrome, and the general pattern seems to be that Chrome works fine during a MBAM scan as long as the exploit shield is deactivated.
  4. I just upgraded to MBAE Premium 1.04.1.1012 and decided to check what shields were running. I have Office 2013 so was happy to at least see shields for Excel, Word and PowerPoint. They were all deactivated by default, so I manually activated Excel and Word. Then, I added new shields for Outlook, OneNote and Skype, by entering the names and executable names (e.g. outlook.exe without the full path) with profile type of "office". MBAE created shield (lock) icons for each with no errors or feedback of any kind. As a sanity check, I decided to create a nonsense shield: "My Test", "thisdoesnotexis
  5. Using both 1.01.4.1006 & 1008, MBAE keeps Opera from loading it's Speed Dial and effectivly renders the browser unusable. Every new tab is kept on a endless "Loading.." loop. Disabling MBAE solves the problem and Opera functions as it's supposed to again.
  6. Hello all, Not entirely sure what's been going on with my Malwarebytes' setup lately. I recently re-enabled MBAE to test performance with a VM I use to see if recent updates improved performance and it seems a bit better, but since I have done so for some reason MBAM is no longer functioning. I have attached screenshots which show the report from Windows Event Viewer, not entirely sure what any of the exception codes or faults mean though. If the issue is not correctable, I will just reinstall, but I am curious about the cause of said issue. The following is a list of programs I use for se
  7. Hi all, When using Eclipse with MBAE installed and running, I tried to run Maven via Eclipse. It was blocked as an exploit. I looked into the Logs, and the exploit was "cmd.exe blocked from executing through Java". The path I used to run Maven was: RightClick on project file-Run As-Maven Install. I ended up temporarily disabling MBAE and then it worked fine. -Joe Warren
  8. I have followed with interest the topic "MBAE won't run" by JS Hill as I have the same issue though obviously not the same as the previous thread has been fixed and closed. I have 32bit Windows XP Professional (I need it for programs that are unsupported on other OS). But the set-up differs in that I use "Avast" anti-virus and "Privatefirewall 7.0" I have run Chkdsk etc. etc. and everything appears clean of disk errors and malware but when starting: mbae-svc.exe -install I get the message: ......... CmdInstallService(600): Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Service failed to start. Trying to sta
  9. Been using beta version for some months, and tested it aok, but tested paid version 1.03.1.1220 more closely with process explorer and viewing mbae log, and opened a pdf file, nothing unusual about it, and checked to see if Adobe Reader was protected (checking because I noticed mbae was not protecting apps running in sbie -- another thread) and running Adobe Reader 11.0.07 in the clear on XP (my wife's pc), not in sbie, and mbae is not protecting (injecting) AR as noted both with process explorer and AR does not register in mbae log? When I open mbae shields, I see Adobe Reader prelisted, but
  10. I am always on the look out for software that will help protect my computer. Since I work with authors sometimes I can stumble upon a site (their site usually) that has been hacked or where I type in the URL wrong. I did not know about MBAE until I had a problem with MBAM. I found this program while waiting on Maurice Naggar. When I say I was waiting he was on line answering questions about problems. When someone (mods, admin) on support forums takes their personal time to answer questions and help fix problems I do not like to keep them waiting. I downloaded the free version of MBAE to
  11. Hello all, When adding a custom shield it can sometimes take up-to 5 or 6 seconds to appear in the list. It's not a problem for me, but I though other users should know in-case they close the MBAE window down too quick and think it hasn't worked. Although it would be nice if it was a bit quicker. Regards.
