  1. I too have had a major hiccup on my initializing MB. Every other program tells me theres nothing detected on my PC, however my passords and a few accounts have been hacked even though I keep changing them. I've already done the following and attached my log info. Let's try and get some logs first so the team can review them and see if they can tell what may be causing your issues.... Please use an Administrator account when doing the following, FIRST: Create and obtain Farbar Recovery Scan Tool (FRST) logs Download FRST and save it to your desktop. Tell any program that blocks it to ignore or allow. It IS SAFE. It contains no info that can identify or harm you. NOTE: You need to run the version compatible with your system. You can check here if you're not sure if your computer is 32-bit or 64-bit Double-click to run FRST and when the tool opens click "Yes" to the disclaimer Press the "Scan" button This will produce two files in the same location (directory) as FRST: FRST.txt and Addition.txt NOTE: These two files will be collected by the MB-Check Tool and added to the zip file for you NEXT: Create and obtain an mb-check log Download MB-Check and save to your desktop Double-click to run MB-Check and within a few second the command window will open, then click "OK" This will produce one log file on your desktop: mb-check-results.zip Attach this file to your forum post by clicking on the "Drag files here to attach, or choose files..." or simply drag the file to the attachment area Can you assist me? mb-check-results.zip FRST.txt Addition.txt
  2. Tried all the fixes in this thread and still no result. Help. Haven't had functioning sofware for months. Attched required files. Thanks for any help FRST.txt Addition.txt mb-check-results.txt
  3. It's telling me my updates are not current but each time I hit "check for updates" it checks for half a second then goes back to "check for updates"...? Kind of irritating, I'd like to get this updated. I've power cycled and that didn't work so I'm not sure what my next option would be.

  5. Hey. I'm using free Malwarebytes 3.4.5.2467 (Windows 7 64bit) and I have a problem with the scan time. When I perform a full scan of the system disk it takes many hours. The main place that seems to affect dramatically on scanning time is Windows/Winsxs/* My winsxs folder is 14.9GB 72061 files 189444 folders You can not reduce this folder. And MB can scan up to 6 hours for the entire drive. Is there any way to do something about it?
  6. Hi! Following the steps to try to solve this; My your FRST, Additions, and Malwarebytes Threat Scan logs. Ty already, I'll wait for the help. Addition.txt AdwCleaner[S8].txt FRST.txt
  7. so I noticed my Malware-bytes was gone from my quick toolbar so i tried to run the .exe to no avail. each time it told me that it couldn't connect the service. i uninstaled it and reinstaled it, same results, then i used the cleaner tool ive seen in ohter similar forums on this site but that too got me nowhere. prior to this i ran a full scan the day before with no issues and recently a quick scan with windows defender. however nothing showed up i have 64bit windows 10 Toshiba laptop. i have/ had the premium home version installed on my pc
  8. Lately MBAM has become more obnoxious popping up nag boxes to upgrade. If I clicked "no" to this 14 days in a row, why would I will click "yes" on day 15? But putting that aside for a second, I was informed that a new version needs to be downloaded and installed. In other programs this happens seamlessly. In MBAM, I click 'agree and install', it attempts a fresh installation of the whole program, and immediately I get a long error about "could not overwrite mbam.exe"... now, I'm aware of what's happening, it doesn't have permission to shut down and overwrite the main MBAM process, which is currently running. I know enough about computers to deal with it. But a lot of people will just be confused, my parents or grandparents won't know what that error means or what do with it, so they won't upgrade. After being around 12 years, how do you not predict this obvious problem with the installation, and figure out a way to ensure it doesn't happen, instead of just leaving the user to click ok to a confusing error dialogue with no further hints? Maybe this is a lot of complaining to do for a free product, but if you want any hope of getting money from me, I have to know the program will not be intrusive, and that updates will go 100% smoothly, otherwise it's worth what I'm currently paying.
  9. Hey! My PC was running normally but after i restarted my computer on the same day when the computer was fine i actually got a WiFi Limited Access Error! These days it was running correctly but i don't know how it has a Limited Access Error! I googled a lot but found nothing helpful i tried everything i could but still i am facing this error please help me! If you need more specific information Please reply me and help me!
  10. Hi to Porthos, I have the same problem saphicdrmr however, I use a USB WIRELESS BROADBAND DONGLE and I was surprised that my MB was blocking the internet. Can you help me with this? I followed your steps above and here are the results: mb-check-results.zip
  11. Recently got a new computer and tried to get the malwarebytes 14 day premium trial but when I downloaded it I just had the Free Verson instead of the trial
  12. Same problem but following above steps unsuccessful. But uninstalling and reinstalling worked OK. This problem may be connected with end of trial for premium which I did not take up. So unable to connect to service after end of trial.
  13. Malwarebytes-Premium keeps telling me "Real-TIme Protection turned off", and when I try to turn it on, it says "Starting..." for a moment then goes back to off. I am unable to turn it on. I've restarted Malwarebytes, restarted my computer, all to no avail.
  14. I'm trying to activate the license that I've purchased back in October 2017, but I keep encountering the error saying "Unable to contact license server. Check your network settings or contact your system administrator for help." What can I do to fix this? Thank You. mb-check-results.zip
  15. For seemingly random reasons, I can't connect to the license server, even though my internet is fine. If I type in my ID and key, the button will let me activate, but pressing it crashes Malwarebytes and freezes up some applications on my computer. Why is this happening? I just want to use the software.
  16. Greetings! I encountered the "unable to contact license server" error today when I boot up my PC. Initially, I clean uninstalled and reinstalled MBytes and re-entered my activation license. That did not fix the issue. I followed the steps I read on this forum and have already attached the requested logs/files and a screenshot. I appreciate your help. -J mb-check-results.zip

  18. Hello, I just bought a licence of Malwarebytes Premium and downloaded the application. When I try to Activate Licence, I type my license key and click on "Activate License", and this error appears: Then I press OK and this second message appears: These messages also appear whenever I start Malwarebytes. I've reinstalled, used the cleanup tool, nothing worked. I really need to get this working. Thank you for your help. mb-check-results.zip
  19. Hi, I seem to have a similar problem to what other people are experiencing. I haven't had any problems until within the last day or so when suddenly I can't connect to certain sites on the internet, including MBAM's site, facebook, bing and some other known safe sites. After running windows diagnostics, it identified the MWAC filter as the issue. I went into MBAM and turned off the real-time web protection which allowed me to get to the sites I wanted, but obviously this is not ideal. I could use some help in resolving this. Thanks, Sher
  20. Since a few days ago, whenever I start up my laptop, seconds later I now keep getting an error from the program telling me that "updates are not current" and I have to keep making it get updates manually though when I click on the "Check for updates" button the first time, nothing happens and the same error pops up again. Clicking that same button does make it work after all but I don't want to keep doing it each time, and I believe a little blip with a recent program update might have caused this. Might be wrong, but I hope there is a fix for it, even with MBClean that I used before. Thanks.
  21. I really need help getting rid of a pesky virus, HKU\S-1-5-21 I scan my computer and it's there. I get rid of it, and a few days later, it comes right back! I don't know how to completely exterminate this thing! I'm sure its causing me the problems I've been having with my PC. I'm using a Student account, and yet some programs ask me to give permission to run with the little admin shield symbol. Also, my Mozilla Firefox bookmarks, history, ect. will sometimes stop working, and that red bar will appear at the top of Firefox telling me it can't access my bookmarks because they're being accessed elsewhere. Also, the Malwarebytes taskbar logo disappears when my computer's acting up like this, and I click to open Malwarebytes and it doesn't open. I then go to the Program files of Malwarebytes and it tells me I don't have access. It also tells me I don't have access when I try to uninstall MBAM. *Note: A bit (a few weeks) after I logged into the Admin account on my PC and changed a registry file to make a game that wasn't working on my PC work, and I updated my PC, this all started. I don't know if there's any correlation between the two events, but my computer was fine up until that point. I changed: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\SubSystems\ SharedSection=1024,3072,512. Change 3072 into 4096 so it reads: SharedSection=1024,4096,512 Here's the scan log for the virus: Malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.com -Log Details- Scan Date: 12/16/17 Scan Time: 11:39 AM Log File: af1cae6c-e27f-11e7-908c-e4115bfc336f.json Administrator: Yes -Software Information- Version: 3.3.1.2183 Components Version: 1.0.262 Update Package Version: 1.0.3501 License: Premium -System Information- OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 CPU: x86 File System: NTFS User: Student -Scan Summary- Scan Type: Threat Scan Result: Completed Objects Scanned: 243651 Threats Detected: 1 Threats Quarantined: 1 Time Elapsed: 45 min, 6 sec -Scan Options- Memory: Enabled Startup: Enabled Filesystem: Enabled Archives: Enabled Rootkits: Enabled Heuristics: Enabled PUP: Detect PUM: Detect -Scan Details- Process: 0 (No malicious items detected) Module: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Key: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Value: 0 (No malicious items detected) Registry Data: 1 PUM.Optional.DisableMCProperties, HKU\S-1-5-21-3769206596-2729350310-207999698-1000\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\POLICIES\EXPLORER|NOPROPERTIESMYCOMPUTER, Replace-on-Reboot, [14365], [293306],1.0.3501 Data Stream: 0 (No malicious items detected) Folder: 0 (No malicious items detected) File: 0 (No malicious items detected) Physical Sector: 0 (No malicious items detected) (end)
  22. Ok to start my friend game me their laptop so I can do a check up on it since last time I did was about 8 months ago. I know a bit more about computers than my friend does so this is something I do from time to time, I have 3 things installed in their laptop that I installed the first time I did a check up on it, they are programs I use normally on my laptop, CCleaner clean it up a bit, Avast Antivirus and Malwarebytes. Basically those are the 3 programs I use on their laptop. Today I ran into something I didn't know what to do. This are the things I did before I noticed the issues. I ran the CCleaner and after it finished I began running Malwarebytes, It had been running for 4 hours when I decided to look at the progress when I noticed that the start menu didn't open, I minimized Malwarebytes and that's when the screen went black after it came back the window was minimized and everything normal but when I try to maximize the window again it went black screen again and when back Malwarebytes was closed. then the issues began as I was trying to figure out what was wrong, a message pop up about insufficient memory, but I checked and the Hard drive is 500GB and it only has been used about 100GB, after trying to open the start menu the screen went black again and I left it but after sometime it didn't came back to normal so I did a hard reboot, I turn it on again and it began an automatic operation of analyzing and fixing (C:). Windows began again but still has some issues, all the programs take a long time to respond and so far I haven't had the black screen nor the insufficient memory message but I want some help before I do anything else.
  23. Hello. I tried to udpate my father's old computer with Malware Bytes 3 (mb3-setup-consumer-3.3.1.2183.exe). When trying to install, after selecting the language, it fails with a "Runtime error (at 352:120): Invalid floating point operation." The PC had a much older version which I removed using "mb-clean-3.1.0.1031.exe". Ran it as administrator per some instructions on another post. This prompted a reboot and installation of the new MB 3. When it failed with above error, I think another message popped up with instructions to grab the file created on my desktop: mb-clean-results.txt. File attached. I read that MBAM 3 still supports PCs on Windows XP. Here is the XP info from the PC: Windows XP Home Edition, Version 2002, Service Pack 3 The PC is an eMachines T3092 with AMD Athalon XP 3000+ 2.17 GHz processor and 2 GB RAM Any advice on how to load MB 3 would be very appreciated. Thank you. Rick mb-clean-results.txt

Installer asks which language I would like to use, English(Default) is left as selection and ok is pressed, before installer window with agree button appears(it never appears) this error shows up and application crashes.
