  1. Malwarebytes is blocking websites that I trust. This week Malwarebytes started blocking all safe sites that were allowed last week. Links in my email to other sites such as Meetup.com, Google Photos, Facebook, Flickr, USPS, and other safe sites are not accessible. I received https://block.malwarebytes.com/I should not need to manually whitelist the entire internet in Exclusions Settings section of Malwarebytes. Currently, the only option is to remove Malwarebytes. Please fix immediately. Malwarebytesblocked a suspected bad URL or an unwanted program.Learn More
  2. Yesterday, Malwarebytes -- I have Premium Version 3.3.1 -- started blocking safe sites that I frequently access directly from my email. When I click on a link in my email, I get https://block.malwarebytes.com/. This happens in Chrome and Firefox Quantum. I added the blocked URLs to the list of exclusions in my Malwarebytes settings, but the problem persists.
  3. My Web Protection (3.2.2) will not turn on even with a reinstall. It stays in the "starting" mode.
  4. I use Malwarebytes 3 Premium on Windows 7, and recently I've been getting a lot of spam from the domain mx4.earthlink.net which triggers Malwarebytes notifications that a website is blocked. They keep popping up, showing that whatever it is in the email is continually trying sequential ports until it finds one it can get through. The notifications continue for a while even after the email is deleted, so it appears that something is continuing to run on my computer (I'm attaching one of the notifications). Eventually it stops, and I don't know if that means it got through a port, because the spamming is increasing each day, which shows they think they have a live one. I use Thunderbird for email, blocking everything except text, unless I approve to download content, which of course I don't. I've run scans with Malwarebytes, and no threats are found. My questions are 1) Why do notifications continue after the email is deleted and does Malwarebytes definitely block ALL ports? and 2) since all of these are coming from one domain, is there any way to block that particular domain from coming in, if that makes any sense? For some reason, since my ISP is Earthlink, they won't allow me to block a domain that is one of theirs. Thank you for your help!
  5. So, I recently updated my Malwarebytes to the newest version and it gave me another free trial. With the new trial, I immediately started getting notifications of a specific IP address and subnet of my ISP provider blocked. I tracked it to Boulder Colorado, if that helps. The reports an near constant, all outgoing, usually 8-reports a minute. Near every time, the svchost.exe is the executable at "fault". Only when I open up Chrome or Firefox do those come up. I went through every similar instance on the forums, and I've ran 90% of tools suggested and they always come up negative. Before I just create an exclusion for this possible false positive, I wanted to get a professional opinion Addition.txt FRST.txt Threat_Scan_Report.txt
  6. Hi there, Malwarebytes seems to be automatically blocking my website after I installed Tawk.to on it. Is there any chance someone could have a look at it for me and remove the block? https://portalpage.000webhostapp.com/ Thanks!
  7. Hello, I hope somebody can help me. When I used Malwarebytes Free everything was okay, until it started finding the same 7 browser hijackers every time I scanned my computer (they are very annoying, causing a lot of unwanted redirects); it put them in the quarantine but they kept showing up without stop. I hoped Malwarebytes Premium could have helped me better and I bought a license, but when I activated it Internet just stopped working. I'm sure it's Malwarebytes, because when I shut it off Internet starts working again without other problems except those hijackers. Please help me understand what could be wrong... If you need more information, just ask. Thank you! Ps: I'm an Italian user so my pc is set with the italian language, but I should have no problems if you tell me names of folders and programs in english, I'll just search for a translation if needed.
  8. I'm having the same issue between Malware Bytes 3.0 and MS Word 2013. There was a log entry in Malware that pointed to a MS app called FLTLDR.exe. I tried the suggestions to uncheck certain functions within Malware Bytes but none of them worked for me. I was able to fix the problem by renaming FLTLDR to "FLTLDR.old" and the problem went away??? Not sure what FLTLDR does in MS word but it's not working now! EL Bee

  12. This site has been blocked by Malwarebytes for several weeks. The webmaster assures us that it's clean. Any ideas? osco.txt
  13. Hi, I'm a Malwarebytes registered user. I bought the cd long ago because I love the idea of supporting honest companies that produce quality products such as this with new updates being introduced at a constant rate. I have been using this amazing software for many years now but still don't know how to utilize all of its features. I would like to know how to use Malwarebytes to block ip addresses and websites that are dangerous to my computer's health.

  15. Hey. Many partners write that they can not go to my sites, because They have a locally activated lock: 1) "I went to your website today, and your site is blocked. I receive thiserror from my antivirus: "Malwarebytes has blocked a potentially malicious website."" 2) "malwarebytes is still blocking your site. maybe you need to contact themand ask what's wrong:https://www.malwarebytes.com/support/" Administrators checked the server where my sites are located + I checked my computers - no viruses. Please remove my sites from the database, because malwarebytes is still blocking my sites. I can provide all my sites for verification in personal correspondence. Regards
  16. Hello MBAM support. Today, I pluged in a USB into my computer and I noticed my files had been changed to direct accesses. Unfortunately I clicked one and the problems started from there. I have ESET Endpoint Antivirus and immediately after trying to open a .docx document a notification started popping up about a URL adresss being blocked. Every 5-10 seconds the notification appears again and it has never stopped since. At first, I tried restarting my computer but it did not work, the notification continued. Then I heard of MBAM and installed it but the program would not run. So, I went and opened the chameleon help file by going into the folder located in program files. (Note: There was no folder in start called "Malwarebytes Anti Malware", there was only one called "Malwarebytes" and it only contained a direct access to the program and the uninstaller). I went through all Chameleon #. The first 3 or 4 opened the DOS box but it got closed down almost immediately. The others had better success and were able to launch Malwarebytes, but a second or two after that it darkened the screen and a pop-up window saying the program stopped working. After windows "analyzed" the problem it told me the program stopped working altogether and only gave me the option to close it. This happened with every other Chameleon # Next, in order to post a topic here, I tried running the Farbar Recovery Scan Tool, but I was unable. The windows appear for a second (or less!) and then immediately close down. Screenshots 3 and 4 of my attachments are those. Note that in the second screenshot you can see the ESET notification that is endlessly popping up, which reveals the URL address that is being blocked. Also, you may notice my computer is in spanish. I hope this is not a problem. I then ran Rkill and it told me programs should be able to run now, but I still had the same problems. I attached the log it created. Other than the constant pop-ups from ESET and the preventing of anti-malware programs being launched I haven't had any problems. I am, of course, being extremely careful of what I'm doing in my computer right now. Additional notes: -ESET is outdated, and it has constantly been telling me so for a while. I'm not sure why. I can't update it. -I ran McAfee Security Scan Plus and it did not detect any threats. It only told me that ESET is outdated -I registered this account just for this and it is temporary. I do not want to type any of my actual passwords just in case. -I always have an EHDD plugged into my computer (it's a laptop). I just noticed to my dismay that everything in it got turned into a direct acess too. Is there any way the files in it can be saved? I don't want to unplug it just in case. After noticing the problems happening, I formatted the USB that started the problems. I restarted the computer with that USB still plugged in and unplugged it only after that. I don't want to connect it again for now. What I am most concerned about are the files in that EHDD. Thank you for your time. Rkill.txt
  17. Hi, I work for a link shortening service called Geniuslink (https://www.geni.us) which provides our clients with the ability to create shortened links that automatically send their customers to the best destination to purchase their products or view their content. Our site is only used to shorten and add custom rules to links, and we strictly monitor the links that are built to ensure that no one is using the service to create spam links. After a few customers reported that we were being flagged as a malicious site, we submitted a post requesting that our site be removed from the Malwarebytes blacklist. We talked with Zynthesist, as well as a member of the support team via (corporate-support@malwarebytes.org), and were told that our domain would be added to the whitelist. However, another one of our clients reached out to us today saying that they: We really don't want our customers to think that there's anything to be concerned about while using our service, so is there anyway to verify that we have been successfully removed from the blacklist? Thank you for you assistance, we'd appreciate getting this taken care of as soon as possible.
  18. Hi, We have a user who's Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit keeps blocking an object scanned at "C:\Program" as it shows in the Malwarebytes Management Console. On his PC's Anti-Exploit logs, it shows that "C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\Office14\EXCEL.EXE" is being blocked. His Excel opens up fine by itself but when he uses a program called "Cash Suite" which has a feature built into the program to use Excel, it doesn't successfully open Excel. Any ideas on what is causing this? Thanks!
  19. When Malwarebytes blocks an IP and at the same time I'm running Wireshark, I don't see the traffic from the blocked IP in Wireshark. Could anyone explain how this works? My guess is maybe the Malwarebyte blocked IP is from a domain redirect but I would still think I would see that traffic, right? ============================================== see traffic -> Malwarebytes blocks it -> computer is safe ? ============================================== Does Malwarebytes compile their own safe IP/domain list or do they use Google's safe browsing list? Thanks!

  21. Hi Malwarebytes, I'm in a bit of a predicament. I'm not sure when but yesterday I was able to access 2 of my websites just fine yesterday but today Malwarebytes decides to Block them. I thought for a second it must be Cloudflare since MBAM is blocking CF's IP so I turned off Cloudflare so that the traffic goes through directly to my sites. To my surprise they get blocked as well, the other had dedicated IP so I checked and it got blocked when I access the IP directly, my other site that is hosted under it (it's a reseller account) isn't affected. So, I tried my other site which is getting blocked but it's on a shared IP address. It gets blocked as well but I can access the Shared IP just fine no Block pop-ups from MBAM and also the others sites I had under it. I therefore concluded that for some reason MBAM is blocking 2 of my domains which I'm not sure why since I'm pretty sure it isn't affected specially the other one that's on a shared IP since it's just a 1 page HTML. If my account has been breached then all of the sites hosted under it should have been breached as well which isn't the case. So I ask, could the Malwarebytes team enlighten me please on why this is happening? Domains in questions obs.pwsorallc.pwNOTE Kindly delete my other thread that was on the wrong section. I apologize for it since I was in a bit of a frantic state earlier that I didn't notice. (https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?/topic/172578-mbam-blocking-my-sites/) I attached a MBAAM Log file for that, please take a look. MBAM Web Protection Log.txt

  23. Hi team, I tried checking out the free premium trial in the program, but now it blocks all downloads in Chrome, such as torrents, extensions, and applications. Even the MBAM removal tool from the malwarebytes site itself. Tried uninstalling MBAM, issue still persists. Reinstalled Chrome, issue still persists. Ran a full scan, but there were no issues/problems that showed up in the results. Opted out of the trial within the program, still no go. I can download off of Firefox, but Chrome downloads have been blocked altogether. Would really appreciate any help you guys can offer. Thanks!
  24. As the title states, MBAE for Business is detecting and blocking exploit code in Spotify. I just installed MBAE on the test system so this is the first run of the program. I have the latest version of both MBAE and Spotify. I've had no issues with Spotify in the past and MBAM and Symantec Endpoint Protection have not found anything malicious on the system or with Spotify. Would this be a false positive? I'd rather not make an exception for Spotify so it can be protected in the event of a real threat. Furthermore, Spotify is installed on many machines in the company so it could prove to be a likely vector for exploitation. I've attached the alert log for the event. Note: I did remove the username information. archived-1892-mbae-alert.log
