  2. After installing MBAR 1.07.0.1009 and executing the application, I am able to update the definitions successfully to today's date and then when I start a full scan (all objects selected) it says Initializing and then blue screens my system. (Windows 7 64bit SP1 - Lenovo T430s). Never had this issue with any previous versions of MBAR. Any ideas what changed between 1008 and 1009 that is causing this issue?
  3. Been having issues with my computer. I tend to have program hang ups. Programs will just stop responding and my computer will freeze up for a while sometimes. Even when I can exit out the process will still be running, and I have to kill the process through the task manager. This happens with Firefox, Google Chrome, Adobe Audition, and probably other programs/applications that I'm not thinking of at the moment. Another thing is that more than one instance of a program/application will be running somewhere in the background when I open it up once. So when I exit out of the program I have to kil
  4. Hi, I have a terrible virus... svchost in my temp folder... any time I tried to kill it, or run any malwarebytes or hijackthis program to try to kill it... it gives me the BSOD. I have a hp pavilion dv7, running windows 7 64 bit. I have found several cases like mine on here.. but they all say do not run those programs unless told to do so by one of ya'll, so here I am. Thank you for your help!!!!
  5. Seems I find myself coming here more then I would like. Just had went back and forth with assistance on this forum for a few months on here, Was really hoping I wouldn't have to come back any time soon. On here It was confirmed that my pc was clean and what not, but now I've gotten 2 or 3 black screens of death. One big issue I'm having is program hang ups. Programs will just stop responding and my computer will freeze up for a while sometimes. Even when I can exit out the process will still be running, and I have to kill the process through the task manager. This happens with Firefox, Google

  7. Please excuse my bad English. I hope you understand the most. I was browsing the web when everything seemed to freeze, the taskbar had frozen, the start button had frozen etc, a messaged that said something similar to "Microsoft Windows has stopped responding" popped up. After able of doing nothing to make it work again I rebooted the computer. It worked fine for what I believe was 30-60 minutes until the same thing happened again. As before I rebooted the computer, and this time I got a message saying "Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and pr
  8. Every time I try to run Malwarebytes Anti-Rootkit (mbar.exe), my computer instantly crashes and displays the infamous blue screen of death. It says something about mbam and chameleon, but I don't quite recall and, at this point, I'm tired of intentionally crashing my computer whilst troubleshooting. It might be important to note that running MBAR in Safe Mode does not result in a crash. Does anybody know the solution?
  9. I would like to ask for help upon checking my minidump file because I don't know how, I had a BSOD problem recently but only when I play a certain game, I don't know the cause, and instructions on how to place my minidump here would be really great. thank you.
  10. I am not sure if I am infected, but several websites have mentioned things that lead me to wonder, in addition to the fact that I have received the BSOD at least once when running a full scan with Malwarebytes. It started around the same time that I purchased a Western Digital My Passport. The backup software that came with it wouldn't install properly, so I contacted their tech support, who had my uninstall/reinstall several times, then referred me up the chain to a tech who remoted into my pc...couldn't get it to work either, so he installed a different software, Anywhere Backup. This wor
  11. I followed the instructions and ran the dds.scr. There did not appear to be a dds.txt file generated. Problem Ive been having was the FBI. I did a restore which allowed me to download and run Malwarebytes Anti Malware. Ran full and quick. Restarted after each. Now I seem to be getting the BSOD after 10-20 minutes. Heres the script. Please advise. E . DDS (Ver_2012-11-20.01) . 12. Ever since installing malware bytes on a brand new Lenovo Z580 laptop running Windows 8 64 bit, I was getting BSODs every 30 minutes when going online (was much faster until I disabled hardware acceleration). I figured it was a driver issue. All drivers were updated and windows was updated. I ran driver verifier over an entire night and the laptop didn't crash once. I tried closing Malware Bytes with the verifier enabled and I got an instant* BSOD with a driver verifier error. Don't know if it's just coincidence, but I'm starting to think that it's Malware Bytes causing all of the BSODs. I onl
  13. It started out very random but has gotten incresingly more frequent. SYMPTOMS: BSoD after running any extensive multimedia programs (Music, Games, Youtube Videos, etc.) BSoD: DRIVER_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL MS Knowledge Base says the cause is a USB driver and offers a Fix, but the Fix does nothing Reboot computer and it hangs just after the POST (just before WinXP LogIn Screen shows up) My work-around has been to turn off all external USB devices and see what is causing the hang-up. To my suprise I noticed that if I turn off my Focusrite Firewire Audio Interface before booting up the computer it
  14. Hi all - I've been getting a lot of random BSoD lately. I downloaded WhoCrashed, which seemed to indicate it was a software, not hardware issue, and googling led me to download Malwarebytes and Avast. These found a number of issues, one of which seems to be the Trojan.agent malware that I can't seem to get out of my computer. Attached are the dds scans and the rogue killer scan. Thanks so much in advance to anyone able to help. RKreport1_S_01262013_02d0910.txt attach.txt dds.txt
  15. Started getting BSOD every few minutes on few month old ASUS laptop with Win7. Restarted in safemode and no BSOD. Installed MWB and did a full scan. It showed 12 items and i had it clean them. Still got BSOD. Did a chkdsk and it showed 2 items. I then did a chkdsk /F and those items were gone but it showed the bitmap error. The whole while MWB kept popping up with svchost.exe trojan. IM stuck, looked around these forums and I read http://forums.malwar...?showtopic=9573 and it told me to download dds.com and then attach the logs. I'm also attaching the latest minidump log converted to a zip but
  16. I have an Acer Aspire 5315-2940, Windows Vista, 32 bit. I had a virus/trogan and I believe I got rid of it using Super Anti Spyware, Spybot, and even Malwarebytes. I went to run Malwarebytes one last time to make sure the computer was clean and the computer BLUE SCREENED. I ran other virus removing programs and everything was fine. I can go online and surf normaly. I can do anything I want to on the laptop except run Malwarebytes. I uninstalled Malwarebytes and downloaded a clean install from Filehippo.com. I installed it and tried to run it but I got the BSOD again. On the blue screen it says

  20. The quick scan works fine and doesn't detect anything. The full scan goes for about 45min-1hr before the BSOD happens and the laptop re-starts. It re-boots too fast to read anything on the BSOD. Scanning with Microsoft Essentials doesn't reveal anything; as it says there are no infections. Please help!
  21. Hey there y'all. I could really use some help if anyone is up to the task. I'll try to explain in as much detail as possible. Also, I have minimal experience with virus removal in general so please ignore my ignorance. My computer runs fine most of the time. It may be a little slower because of wear, but speed is not the issue here. What concerns me is when I'm in the middle of research, a paper, or what seems to be anything of any significance, my computer drops the BSOD on me which is then always shortly followed by a 10 minute start-up repair. Every time I run a scan I get the same two file
  22. Hello all. My sis inlaws laptop was restarting and performing system repair with random BSODs thrown in. Ran some scans using malwarebytes found 4 trojans. I got rid of 3 via malwarebytes now im stuck with one that is apparently disguised as svchost.exe. I ran DDS and have included the logs aswell as the last malwarebytes log. Thanks in advance for any help or insight. DDS.txt Attach.txt mbam-log-2012-10-02 (00-36-26).txt
  23. Hi, so I was scanning my computer for maleware and I went away from the computer for a bit when I came back the blue screen of death popped up! I think the message was : page_fault_in_nonpaged_area I let the computer start back up and in safe mode tried to scan the computer again and once again the BSoD popped up. So I stopped trying to mess with it. 24. I have Windows Server 2003 installed as a Virtual Machine on a Server 2008 system. The server 2003 installation has a really bad virus infection and since I can take snapshots, I was able to discover the following: Removing any single one of 280 infections causes a BSOD on restart. I have reverted the snapshot several times to try removing various combinations of items from the Scan Results dialog, but I can't remove a single one without causing a BSOD, even a file that I was able to delete myself without any problems. Removing it with MalwareBytes causes the 0x00007b BSOD. Why? Feel free
  25. Hello I know your all busy so I'll keep this as short and as easy to read as possible. I have a rootkit that's been here for a while. I've been keylogged, monitored, lost admin rights had the bsod so I physically replaced the ram, wiped my hdd several times, gone into bios and flashed from there antivirus has stopped before finish, reads infection as clean and can't update, new anti virus doesn't pick up anything, virus is written to mbr windows can't pick up, worms itself through drivers and replaced gfx card, I have a tv and stb that I can't connect yet to the Internet because when I purchas
