  1. First let me start by saying that I have been a long long time user of Malwarebytes, and have recommended it or installed it on many a users computer. But I must confess, this latest fiasco concerning the many bugs within version 3.0 and the 4 months it took to resolve, really has me doing a whole lot of soul searching. A quick word to the wise, make sure before you attempt to try the above Beta out, you know y

I don't really care about the features like game-mode, i just want the best protection. Could anyone please help me I want to run this along malwarebytes anti-malware premium. Oh and If I would have Kaspersky/Bitdefender's real-time-protection would I still need malwarebytes real-time-protection? Thanks!

  10. Hello everyone! I just got a new laptop for the college, and I need some files from my old laptop. But, for protection, I did some scans on the old laptop to be sure that nothing is infected. Here is the results; - Avast Rescue Disk - nothing infected (some files were a "decompression bomb", but I removed them) - ESET Online Scanner - nothing infected - Malwarebytes full scan on Safe Mode - nothing infected So, I'm safe to do the backup? Or should I do the diagnostic logs? Thank you guys for the help.
  11. Hello. I have a samsung galaxy note 2, running on a android 4.3( jelly bean, I think). My model number is SGH-I317M if it helps. 13. Hi folks, I am using an old P4 (3 GHz /512 Ram) dedicated for downloads (specially torrents) I had installed AVIRA free edition - but now the rig is really terribly slow so much so that browsing is a pain. I was thinking of getting rid of AVIRA. I have Malwarebytes already installed on it. Would a combination of Malwarebytes and the KAspersky free virus scanner tool that scans only on demand - no real time protection (http://www.kaspersky.com/security-scan) be enough as long as i have a pop up blocker and browse safely? My basic requirement is to ensure that the old p4 is virus free sin
  14. Looking for anti-virus/internet security products that require no adjustments to work with malwarebytes (Ie are fully compatible). Current recommendations for the end of 2013? Thanks

  16. Computer freezes for long periods of time randomly and boots up and runs real slow. I've done a little cleaning and ran a registry program that a computer guy helped me with and it has helped a little. is it possible that my Avast or malwarebytes let something thru and should I also have a spyware program like spybot on here? Thanks for your help.
  17. Initial problems: Website redirection to ilivid, wizard 101, jollywallet pop ups...etc. System restore was turned off by virus (es?), earlier restore points deleted, unable to update MBAM. Was finally able to turn on System restore, but previous points still deleted, now able to update MBAM. I updated it, ran a quick and a full scan, and a boot time scan. I also ran scans with SuperAntiSpyware and Avast. There were detections, which I removed from my system, but I still am having issues with my browsers being redirected! I use FF, Chrome and IE, all have been updated to the current release
  18. I am a new user of Malwarebytes. I was advised to also install an antivirus product to protect against different types of threats. I have Microsoft Security Essentials installed which came with Windows7. I was advised that this is not good enough. I purchased VIPRE but it cannot coexist with Malwarebytes according to the VIPRE support desk. What antivirus product should I purchase that will be installable along with Malwarebytes?

  21. Hello all! So I've been using Malwarebytes Pro in a combination with different antivirus programs for a while now. While I love MBAM Pro, I can't decide on a decent antivirus program. Does anyone have any recommendations for one? Doesn't matter whether it is free or paid, but free is definitely a plus. Thank you and have a nice day!
  22. For some reason I can't get the protection mode in MBAM to stay on. It will come on when I start Windows but in a few minutes, the maliciuos webpage blocker is unchecked and can't be rechecked. I know that I had to go in and make cetain exceptions when I was running Avast AV. Could there be a compatability issue with ESET Nod32 AV 4.2 ? My OS is Win xp pro SP3 , I'm using MBAM Pro 1.7 What could be causing this? Thanks in advance (PB)

  24. Hardware: HP Pavilion dv5 Toshiba 500 GB External Drive Software: Windows 7 Home Premium OS Microsoft Security Essentials Malwarebytes Antimalware Pro I’ll try to make this as short as possible. About 3 weeks ago I had to reformat my computer because of a virus. Was running Symantec Endpoint Protection along with MSE (know not to do that now of course) and Spybot Search and Destroy. Symantec picked up the adware virus, but it wasn’t until trying Malwarebytes free (after scanning with Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool, Microsoft Security Scanner, and Trend Micro House Call) that I found
  25. New to the forums here (and Malwarebytes itself), so I'll start with saying 'hello!' With that done, I have a few questions and am hoping to find some opinions. I've been a user of AVG's IS for a few years now, but their recent 2013 edition is causing some wariness for one reason or another. Considering myself as something of a 'semi-advanced' user, I'm considering dropping AVG products altogether, and have thus been looking at other suites to fill the gap (namely Bitdefender and Kaspersky). Now, while I'd love some opinions on those, I'm more interested in just dropping the suites (and all th
