Made the mistake of downloading youku's player/downloader program. Now my system is riddled with some sort of undeleteable chinese malware. It is DEEPLY embedded in my system. I'm by no means an experienced troubleshooter, so I DESPERATELY need help. Also not exactly sure what information is relevant, so hopefully this helps: -Uninstalling the program was a fail (even running in safemode). Said I did not have the rights. -Malwarebytes scan (hyper scan, threat scan, custom scan on startup) always returns zero issues. Same with Bitdefender. -Googling solutions returned limited results. Most promising one suggested I install Revo Downloader Pro. I did that, uninstalled the 360 program, then used Revo to delete any remaining registry or program files (using the advanced option after you uninstall). IT DID NOT WORK because the malware processes (see attached screenshots) still run upon startup. That said, the chinese program is no longer in the list of programs to uninstall (via control panel) nor is it listed in Revo programs I can uninstall. It's as if the program itself is gone but the malware still uses my wifi to automatically run. -Wasn't able to disable the program via task manager's startup tab (said I didn't have permission), however, when running in safemode I was able to do so. It clearly didn't help as the processes still run upon startup. -When I attach an external HD, i now get a chinese popup box indicating the malware is deeply rooted throughout my system. Who knows what data is being copied/transmitted/etc. PLEASE HELP!! I guess not many Americans face this issue given how few online solutions exist post 2015. No malware/anti-virus programs fix it. I've never faced anything like this. I'm afraid my only option is wiping my entire HD at this point. I hope there are better options. Please let me know what info I can provide to help troubleshoot this. Thanks in advance.
