MBAM is not appearing in the task bar. When I try to open via > all programs . i get > program not working > shut it down or search online for solution?
so I uninstalled & tried to re-install current version.
Install fails. Keep getting runtime error at 79:177 and external exception E06d7363.
Suggestions?

My MBAM is a lic. version and is up to date. But is blind to Qone8 which has taken up residence in the front opening tab of i.e., firefox & chrome. And each time MBAM scans it is oblivious to this Qone8 multi-browser hijack.
-
Recently or maybe longer MBAM updated it self with my OK to this new version 2.0.1.1004 premium. Although I have ticked auto update the only update avail is manual.
And now I'm infected with a browser hijack Qone8.
Do i have to pay again with this new model for protection to be real-time/active? And how do we kill this Qone8?

Providing a user doesn't venture into known dangerous sites is MBAM enough for a conservative user or is anti-virus another world & one must have an AV on board as well?
N.B. I'm not looking for a 'worst case scenario' reply. I'd like to hear back "MBAM is normally good enough coverage across the board".

Can I buy a copy of XP 2nd hand from someone then ship it to my friend & he installs it over in Africa then qualifies for a reduced price upgrade?
-
And what about after XP is 'unplugged'. Does it mean it will not function on the internet anymore or it means its vulnerability will 'skyrocket' due to no further updates?

They can use Linux.
NOBODY should be dependent upon pirated software. Poverty is not an excuse for theft especially in cases where such theft isn't literally for survival.
The price of windows per wages ratio is pretty close to 'survival' over there. What's it in the west 1, 2 or three days work even for a poor man. Try buy it when your income is $2 per day. Show a little compasion for others less fortunate.

Hi all,
Have a couple of internet friends who live in 3rd world Africa. Win7 Win 8 is too much money to up-grade. What happens in 18 months or so when XP's plug is pulled? The 3rd world depends on pirate edition xp. Will life cease to exist or just the 'threat level' will increase for those 'left behind'?

Look at the Event Log at the bottom of your attach log file. You need to fix all those issues.
Why are you running pebuilder while scanning?
You're using Tor which is similar to Skype in that it uses IP addresses from peer 2 peer networks that can be on one or more IP block lists.
Disable Tor and fix your other issues and you'll probably be fine.
Your Tune-up utilities don't work well with some other programs - up to you but you might want to reconsider if you really need it.
A good healthy full disk check might be in order as well.

pebuilder, too much rushing. forgot to turn it off. Yes, now you mention it I think it happens with Tor. Got any more info on Tune Up clashes?
Woooooooo. Just read the attachment.
==== Event Viewer Messages From Past Week ========What's a starting point to seek help / info on that list? I'm unskilled but willing to learn / try.
What xp tools will help shorten that list? Would greatly appreciate some informed tips from you.
Thanks

Malwarebytes regularly pops up a message that it has blocked a potential dangerous website i.p. xxx.xxx.x.xx type - outgoing. The only information the log shows is the i.p. address.
How can I investigate further to find the source of the outgoing attempts that Malwarebytes is blocking?
