Thank you alvarnell. Added the Malwarebytes extension to Chrome and Firefox browsers and all is working good now.

I've run a test on my PC using Malwarebytes ip test link. Malwarebytes did the job and blocked the link. Working perfectly on the PC. I tried the same link on the Mac and it didn't block the link. This is what I got on the Mac running Malwarebytes Premium: "If You Are Able To Reach This Page It Means That IP Protection Is Disabled On Your Computer" Is there a different test link for a Mac?

On the Malwarebytes for Mac GUI I see "Protection Update: Current". If the software is running by definition updates, where is the file located with the number and date of the definition update?

Thank you alvarnell for the good information.

First time running Malwarebytes (real time) on a Mac and Apple released updates today for macOS Mojave and Safari. Before updating the OS do I need to turn off the real time protection or keep it on? I'll be doing a clone / backup before updating. If I update now will I lose my Trial Malwarebytes? I still have 11 days on it and I have a paid version coming in the mail next week.

Thank you Thomas.

I'm running the Trial Version of Malwarebytes on my Mac and have 12 days left. I also set up my Malwarebytes Account a few weeks ago. I ordered Malwarebytes 1 year license from Newegg and I should recieve the Key Card before the Trial runs out. My question is:
Do I register the keycard number in my Account first or do I put it on the Malwarebytes GUI first? Or does it make a difference?

If I'm not mistaken, I don't believe there is "Lifetime Licenses" for Mac Computers. I know there were Lifetime Licenses for PC because I have 4 of them but not for Mac's

I'm running MBAM Version 1.2.6 on my Mac. I want to run the latest version. How do I uninstall Version 1.2.6 from the Mac to upgrade? I see Version 3 has a uninstaller, can't find one for version 1.2.6. What do I need to do, just drag the app to the trash?

So I assume in the next update they will have scheduled scanning we can setup ourselves?
I don't know if this will happen on the next update but I do remember @treed the Mod and Mac Expert posting here may be in the near future MBAM for Mac will go real time or Automatic Scan.

MBAM on a Mac is totally different than MBAM on Windows. Like they say a "Mac is in a totally different world". All Mac users have is launch MBAM (that will update MBAM), then run a scan. That's it. No Auto Scanning, No Real Time. ( But I hear they may be working on real time ) Update takes a second, if that and a scan takes me about 30 seconds.

Hello MizzLily,
Since you posted this in the Mac Forum, MBAM does not have a Pro Version for Mac at this time. Every time you enable (launch) MBAM it automatically updates.

Once upon a time, when "Window" was just a square hole in a room & "Application" was something written on a paper, when "Keyboard" was a Piano and "Mouse" just an animal, when "File" was an important office material and "Hard Drive" just an uncomfortable road trip, when "Cut" was done with knife and "Paste" with glue, when "Web" was a spider's home and "Virus" was flu, when "Apple and Blackberry" were just fruits, that's when we had a lot of time for family and friends!

I just updated to Version 1.2.6.730. No problems here with the scan. About a 2 second pause on OSX. VSearch. Same as previous version which is normal.

We will be adding the option for real-time protection in the future
That sounds good.

Last night I uninstalled my security software on my Win 7 computer except MBAM-2. I then tried to install the Beta Version over MBAM-2. It ran good until I did a reboot. Then I got warnings of real time being turned off, Couldn't open IE, F/F or Chrome. I couldn't shut down the computer, no reaction, everything froze. I had to Hard Shut Down. Started computer back up and the same problems. I tried to uninstall the Beta version, no reaction would not uninstall. Did another Hard Shut Down and went to Safe Mode to Uninstall. Started the computer, used Revo Pro on left overs of MBAM, reboot. Did a CLEAN INSTALL of MBAM Beta. No problems now, running good after many reboots.

I reverted a change I made to a rule that I suspected may have been involved
Yep, I knew something has happened. I'm back to 2 seconds instead of 15 as posted above. Version 1.2.5, Sig File 139

That's what I was hoping your answer would be. Than all is normal and working good here, Thanks Thomas.

Yes I seen the report of the data base in the Reports Tab. Sounds good that the definition data is encrypted. Thanks for the info Thomas.
