  1. It looks like part of the problem is due to the Cloudflare proxy?

There is another issue regarding signatures...

I am signed in, and my picture is no longer visible, I fixed it once before, but now my image is gone again? What gives?

Aura has pointed out your issue exactly. Upload it to imgur (make an account too, it's worth it to be able to go back and remove old images), upload your signature, then edit it here and be sure to link to the https version. Reason I say to link to the https version is that it's a bit nicer to see that everything on a page is secure, versus a warning due to images linked via http. (I need to do the same thing myself.)

Politely bumping this, albeit prematurely, coming off the holiday weekend.;)

    1) There is a TON of wasted real estate on the main page.

    2) It helps to spot spam posts & legit posts from users needing assistance without jumping hoops.

    3) We've had it before (and other fora, such as bleeping still have it).

    4) It can be done - lunarsoft forums under 4.1 have it.

    Thanks for listening.

Passed along information on how to find this and enable it. Glad to see it's enabled now. :)

Over this period of time, we had a demo site stood up and invited a small group of people to help ensure it would work. We had to keep it small because we were under a very short time frame to get all of this done - for some stuff, we only had hours or days to complete the tasks.

Next time, let me know if you need more. I run IPS software on Lunarsoft too and am rather familiar with the workings and such.

So basically, to avoid the issue where IPS4 isn't fully supporting BBCode anymore, we should convert all of our canneds to HTML (which is basically what you'll see if you copy/paste your canned and enable the Source mode of the editor), test them so they work, and then copy/paste them in our canneds library to use them in the future. Is that right?

And I'm sure this is preventing a lot of forums from upgrading to IPS4 from IPS3. What about the posts already made on the forums? Will IPS4 break them since they might be used unsupported BBCode, or will they leave them intact, and it'll only affect new posts made on IPS4?

No. BBCode tags are automatically converted when you post. BBCode is also deprecated from what I've heard/read.

  6. Java is well known for being very easy to exploit. To update it, you can simply go to the Java download page here. Gamers need it for Minecraft mainly, aside from that there's not much else you may need it for.

Since you're still having issues you may want to give my PC Cleanup guide a try. Because you're still finding infections I'd recommend doing full scans. You'll also want to post Malwarebytes logs when the scans finish.

  7. Are you using the Steam Client Beta? I ask because of this: http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SteamClientBeta#announcements/detail/231150996259270560

    General

    • Fixed an issue causing the web component to render web pages at an incorrect size
    • Fixed multiple compatibility issues preventing Steam from starting on older Athlon XP CPUs running Windows

Steam is an Internet-based digital distribution service. It does in fact use a browser based on Chromium. If you check your Task Manger you will see steamwebhelper.exe - this is used for the store, community pages, overlay and anything where you have to render a website through Steam and Steam's overlay.

Try running a Full Scan with Malwarebytes to ensure the infections have been removed. Your Logitech software is out of date and it you may need to update your Java. If you don't use Java just remove it.

  8. Definitely a huge change over the 1.x series. Even on my old computer it felt very fast and responsive. I've got a copy of the log/results, too.

    Malwarebytes Anti-Malwarewww.malwarebytes.orgScan Date: 1/30/2014Scan Time: 4:25:47 PMFilename:OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1CPU: x86User: TarunFile System: NTFSVersion: 2.00.0.0502Database: v2014.01.30.07Administrator: trueLicense: PremiumProtection: trueScan Type: Threat ScanResult: CompletedObjects Scanned: 216465Time Elapsed: 13 min, 47 secMemory: yesStartup: yesFileSystem: yesHeuristicsShuriken: yesArchives: yesPUP: yesPUM: yesProcesses: 0(No malicious items detected)Modules: 0(No malicious items detected)Registry Keys: 0(No malicious items detected)Registry Values: 0(No malicious items detected)Registry Data: 1Folders: 0(No malicious items detected)Files: 1data, PUM.Hijack.StartMenu, none, [d778fcbfd7a300367f8fbb47ea1aef11], HKCU\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\EXPLORER\ADVANCED|Start_ShowMyComputer,file, PUP.WirelessKeyView, success, [7cd3704bc3b7dc5aeb25f31ef50f46ba], C:\Users\Tarun\Tech\wirelesskeyview.zip,(end)

Scan dates used to show in 1.x as YYYY-MM-DD. Noticed that this has changed in 2.x since it says Scan Date: 1/30/2014. Was this an intentional change away from the ISO-8601 standard? If so, perhaps UI configuration options can be added?

Not relating to 2.0, but I noticed the PUM.Hijack.StartMenu, HKCU\SOFTWARE\MICROSOFT\WINDOWS\CURRENTVERSION\EXPLORER\ADVANCED|Start_ShowMyComputer, and wonder why this is flagged. Options that users might set shouldn't really show in the results.

  9. I will definitely say overkill that looks to be borderline paranoia (no offense).

Also, Comodo products are not trustworthy in all honesty. In the past they issued signed security certificates to known malware distributors. I believe there was also reports of them allowing known malware through their firewall. So that's definitely not security due to questionable practices.
