I'm on the paid version and I've checked the enable protection button but very often
the app switches to unprotected mode and I have to check the button again.
Obviously something's going wrong. Please help.

Until this week AVG free and Malwarebytes Paid have been a good solution for protection, but since AVG 2011 free was released cant stop lock ups. I experienced the same problem trying to use Malwarebytes and Panda Antivirus together. Please let me know if there is a solution to this problem or if I need to go shopping yet again for a good Antivirus software to run with Malwarebytes.
I'm using Avira Antivir together with Malwarebytes and I have no problems.

Is the removal reversible? Does each removal go automatically to the quarantine?

Thank you, Samuel. I have Avira AV.

A scan came up with Registry Data Items Infected:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Security Center\AntiVirusDisableNotify (Disabled.SecurityCenter) -> Bad: (1) Good: (0) -> No action taken.
What does it mean and what action should be taken?

You can't usually browse the Temporary Internet Files folder while Windows is booted normally. Windows is somewhat funny about that.
I usually use a BartPE CD. Something like UBCD4Win.
Thank you, Arthur. There's always something new to learn.
I wonder if Win can be booted not "normally "from the OS without the use of a boot CD in order to browse that folder.

Could be something else hiding the files, or they are marked as system files and are being protected.
As mentioned, I made sure that no sys files would be hidden, and I have no idea what could hide them. They were exe files inside the Temporary Internet Files folder.
They belonged to an old version of SBS Counter Spy app.

Hi all.
Following a scan I quarantined a couple of files suspected as trojans.
Then I chose one file and restored it. I couldn't find it in the original folder.
A second scan detected it again as a suspected trojan, and yet I couldn't find the file.
I made sure in "folder options" that no files will be hidden.
The file is an exe file and the folder (Temporary Internet Files) had no exe files in it.
Any suggestions?

Got the same thing today. Did an online analysis with jotti and virustotal - file was found not infected. Emailed the zipped file to MB. Waiting for their response.
