  1. I uninstalled the AdBlock Plus and installed uBlock Origin and now everything is working fine.
  2. Hi Porthos! I have just now removed the AdBlock Plus add-on. Now it's not appearing anymore. I don't get it I have used this add-on for many years now and now MBAM was triggering this one. What is the best adblock program do you know of. I really need a ad blocker.
  3. Please explain this! This happens when I open up firefox or check for updates for firefox or even open up a new tab.
  4. Hi dcollins, I can't the first 6 files. I have clicked on the option show hidden files but when I go to trend micro exclusion lists I can't find those? C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbae64.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMChameleon.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\MBAMSwissArmy.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mwac.sys C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\farflt.sys These following files I can find them easily C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MbamPt.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\assistant.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMWsc.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbamtray.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\MBAMService.exe Also the MB folder in Program Files and the one in Program Data (it is hidden by default) What should I do?
  5. How to add exclusions for Trend Micro 2018 to MBAM 3.3 and how to add exclusions for MBAM 3.3 to Trend Micro 2018. Thanks.
  6. I use Google Chrome along with AdBlock Plus add-on. As for my antivirus software I use Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017. My security measures are Malwarebytes 3 (Premium), HitMan Pro (Premium), MCShield (Free), and Zemana Antilogger (Premium).
  7. I won't even think about using any type of cleaner and not even CClearn or any other uninstall utility. If you want to remove file(s) remaining after uninstallation i will just use it's uninstall utility/removal tool by the developer. This same comment applies here too some 4-5 years ago and to be straight up and honest I was a dump idiot person who just ran ccleaner and other utility that will make my computer fast and thinking to myself that it will really make my computer fast. It was the baddest idea of my life and as I kept using these "so called" utility and cleaners it made my previous laptop to be unusable. So DON'T RUN these programs. If you are experiencing technical difficulties seek help not like me before where i just kept on going and using it and thinking it will automatically do it for me.
  8. @jojomart : I had this similar issue previously. Previously, I had Avast Free with MB 3.0 (Free). I had bought a licence for the premium version of MB 3.0 and the real time protection kept turning off after I turned it on. I doubled checked to see if I had the latest updates from Windows Update and I got everything. I then checked to see if my Avast is up-to-date and it was up-to-date. I don't know what was going on, so then I bought Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017 and with MB 3.0 (Premium) everything went really well. Wish I knew what was causing this issue, but I don't have any. I didn't even do the steps that @1PW mentioned. Note: I didn't even have to add any exclusions for both MB and for Trend Micro.

@Buddel: My apologies the last upgrade for this program was on 2016. The main official site for MCShield states 2014, the main site needs updating. One of many other download sites said last release date was on 2016. I downloaded from the main site. <link removed>

MCShield still update it's signature files. Guess, I want to install it, better be safe and than sorry when malware can pass through USB and have this as a third opinion. Thanks for your opinion.

Though many users still has it? Is it like a personal choice?

Hi all, Just want to make some things clear about this MCShield program and yes I heard many people are using it, but one thing that confuses me is that this program haven't been upgraded since April 12, 2014? All we know is that we should all use updated security programs, but this program has been last upgraded on 2014. Should I install it on my laptop. I have already got Hitman Pro, Malwarebytes Premium, and Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017?
  14. Generally its totally upon the user and other users can't convince that he/she should use this that antivirus. No antivirus is 100% antivirus proof. As for me, I have used many free and paid antivirus, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, Norton, Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition, McAfee, AVG Free, Avast Free, Trend Micro and in the past years I have used all of those on and off and finally I sticked to two antivirus. For my desktop i sticked to Avast Free and my laptop that I am writing this on i sticked to Trend Micro. I haven't used BitDefender Free and Avira, but I have heared that those to are pretty good.
  15. @Porthos So far so good. MBAM 3.0 premium isn't interfering with Trend Micro 2017 and vice versa though i haven't set any exclusions. I will keep on monitoring. If anything happens i will set exclusions. Thanks again.
  16. Bingo. I typed sysnative and I found the drivers folder and inside that folder I can see the system drivers for malwarebytes. Currently, I am not facing any problems with Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017 and MB 3.0 it's just that in the control panel and i go to system security and security and maintenance I can see that Trend Micro and MB is turned on and at the bottom it's saying Note: Running more than 1 antivirus app at the same time can cause your device to run slowly. So far I haven't seen any slow on my laptop. Are you running the MB premium as well?
  17. @Porthos Only the 1st 6 system files I can't find those in the exception list from Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017. All the rest i have located it.
  18. @Porthos I can't seem to find all of those files mentioned above from Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017 exception lists?
  19. Can someone from MalwareBytes team show me what files, registry, and programs exclusions need to be set (for MalwareBytes 3.0 latest version) on Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017? I have changed my antivirus from Avast to Trend Micro Maximum Security 2017. Thanks. One more thing, if I deactivate my licensed MBAM 3.0 and if I want the get the premium version again, can I use the same key?
  20. @AdvancedSetup It's okay. A good old friend from Avast Forum gave me PM relating about this on MBAM Forum. I guess I won't be installing those two programs. Though, it will be really good if MBAM can put a feature for only protection for files and folders, since MBAM has become a fully functional antivirus program. Trend Micro has that feature, but I had to get rid of Trend Micro and install Avast because it works great with MBAM Premium
  21. Hi fellows, As I read in one of the section from this forum about IObit and Malwarebytes. I know that Malwarebytes has strict rules and protection against protecting programs that contains PUP and especially against IObit programs. Can Windows 10 protect a file or folder so malware can't infect or block access or does it have a similar program or function? Can I use these two programs from IObit (Protected Folder & Random Password Generator)? I used to have Trend Micro 2017 and it had a function that can protect a folder and a file from access to malware so it won't damage it. Does MalwareBytes or Avast have this sort of functions?
  22. I think some antivirus will show conflicts with MalwareBytes 3.0 (especially since the first release of MB) I had Trend Micro 2017 installed and after that I installed MB 3.0 (first release) and it was causing conflicts between Trend Micro and MB. This month I got Avast Free (latest version) and I installed MB (latest version) and installed MB 3.0 Trial>converted to paid version. My Avast (free) and MB 3.0 was showing any conflicts, no conflicts message(s), I didn't have to exclude anything from avast or MB because both of them runs smoothly. @Gt-truth : In case, you don't know that Avast bought AVG and Avast incorporated features of AVG into Avast. So now you will be getting double protection and features from both AVG and Avast. If you want Avast, first uninstall AVG via add/remove and follow the instructions, download the AVG uninstall utility, manually run your computer in safe mode and run the AVG uninstall utility, and after that install Avast. Important note: After you install Avast, you will receive some pop up message(s) so wait for them to appear and after that open Avast and in the Avast GUI (main window) you will see a message saying finishing installing ( the installation progress may freeze to 99%, don't worry it's a bug). After that has been done manually restart your computer. Enjoy
  23. After you uninstall Avast via add/remove you should have used the Avast uninstall Utility. This tool completely removes all traces of Avast.
