  1. Just needed a restart. Sorry. This thread can be closed.
  2. I get a run-time error 0 and run-time error 440 pop-up when I try to run malewarebytes. I uninstalled and reinstalled but still get the same problem.
  3. Thank you so much. You were incredible in your responsivenes, effort, and patience to help remove infections from my computer. I am extremely grateful!

  4. Windows update says I have everything updated except an optional Bing update. Updated Adobe Reader. Uninstalled everything. I don't have to uninstall Security Check I can just manually delete it, right? Not sure how I would that one if I do have to. Thanks a lot Charlie for all the help.
  5. Alright here is what I got. McAfee was mostly disabled when doing this. Not sure if that affects anything. 6. McAfee regarded it as a dangerous file. Should I just deactivate McAfee or simply ignore it?
  7. Yes, it's the 1.7 MB. The quick scan found nothing. Is that mean I'm in the clearing?
  8. It updated! You're a genius Charlie. Wow, even the icon/avatar changed. Now I shall do a quick scan I presume?
  9. I am very appreciative of your swift responsiveness Mr. Charlie. Here is the report... AdwCleanerS1.txt
  10. Alright, here are the reports. AdwCleanerR1.txt RKreport1_S_12312012_02d1534.txt
  11. I removed all the Toolbars except the Youtube Downloader Toolbar because I had trouble removing it when I tried to uninstall it I get a Windows Installer pop up that states, "The feature you are trying to use is on a network resources that is unavailable." Click Ok to try again or enter an alternate path to a folder containing the installation package 'youtubedownloader Toolbar.msi' in the box below. I tried going in Program files to find the installation package. I found the folder in program files but didn't know exactly what to do or what to find. Should I just skip that step? I realize my MBAM is out of date. If it doesn't want to update, should I also just skip that step and run AdwCleaner? Thank you for your help and prompt response.
  12. It seems MBAM won't update and has not been able to do for at least two days. McAfee won't either, and neither will Spybot so I'm confident I'm infected. Everything seems to be functioning fine, it's just my antivirus won't seem to be able to update. Super anti Spyware actually has been able to update but I haven't checked within the last few hours. A quick scan hasn't shown anything, though. dds.txt.txt attach.txt.txt
  13. Last night I tried downloading it and then installing it but it said I lacked memory processing. Last night I had issues with Firefox closing and not being able to re-open and MBAM and Spybot not opening due to runtime errors. I restarted my computer and everything seems to be working fine now. Is it possible that I accidentally updated MBAM twice simultaneously by accidentally double clicking it and thus causing the error that I had yesterday. It's just a theory, and I doubt that's what happened. Weird how everything is fine now, though. The errors happened out of no where so maybe a restart was all I needed...
  14. I didn't, but I checked and found the RegsVR32.EX and found it in my System 32. Should I still download it anyway? Interestingly enough, My Spybot Search and Destroy is giving me a Runtime Error 217 so it may be a virus. Although my McAfee, and Super-Anti Spyware seem to be work fine, as does my computer.
  15. ISSUE: I'm getting a Runtime error 0 and 440 automation error. Posted Image Posted Image SOLUTION: Please do the following to see if it fixes the error: Please copy and paste the following text in the Code box exactly as written into notepad (not wordpad or any other text editor): if exist "%programfiles(x86)%" regsvr32 "%programfiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll" if exist "%programfiles(x86)%" regsvr32 "%programfiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ssubtmr6.dll" if exist "%programfiles(x86)%" regsvr32 "%programfiles(x86)%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\vbalsgrid6.ocx" if not exist "%programfiles(x86)%" regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll" if not exist "%programfiles(x86)%" regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\ssubtmr6.dll" if not exist "%programfiles(x86)%" regsvr32 "%programfiles%\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\vbalsgrid6.ocx" Once you've done that click on File and select Save As... In the Save dialogue box click on the drop down menu next to Save as type and select All Files Name the file MBAM Fix.bat (the .bat extension is very important) Save the file to your desktop and double click it to run it on XP. For Vista please right click on it and choose Run As Admin Click OK to each of the 3 dialog boxes that should show a success message for each file registered If you get an error that REGSVR32 "is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file", then ensure that the file REGSVR32.EXE exists in the %WINDIR%\SYSTEM32 folder. If it's not found there you can copy if from another Computer running the same operating system and service pack level. If that doesn't fix it then please download and install the Microsoft Visual Basic Common Controls from here to see if it helps. The solution in the FAQ doesn't work. I click the MBAM saved batch notepad file and the first works but I get a call to DLLregister code failed after the 1st successful one for the rest of the batch. Any tips to fix this problem? Should I just uninstall and reinstall MBAM. I hope it doesn't come to that, though.
  16. Does anyone know what has happened. Am I in the clearing?
  17. I know the sticky thread says not to reply in your own thread. I don't know how to edit the original post. I've restarted my computer and everything seems to be running well. It's a little odd, and I definitely still think my computer is infected, though. I ran a GMER scan that I'll post as an attachment and just recently ran a Malewarebytes quick scan after the newest update. Here's the Malewarebytes Anti-Malware Pro Quick Scan Log Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware 1.51.1.1800 www.malwarebytes.org Database version: 7399 Windows 6.1.7600 Internet Explorer 8.0.7600.16385 8/7/2011 4:31:12 AM mbam-log-2011-08-07 (04-31-12).txt Scan type: Quick scan Objects scanned: 166576 Time elapsed: 3 minute(s), 2 second(s) Memory Processes Infected: 0 Memory Modules Infected: 0 Registry Keys Infected: 0 Registry Values Infected: 0 Registry Data Items Infected: 0 Folders Infected: 0 Files Infected: 0 Memory Processes Infected: (No malicious items detected) Memory Modules Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Keys Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Values Infected: (No malicious items detected) Registry Data Items Infected: (No malicious items detected) Folders Infected: (No malicious items detected) Files Infected: (No malicious items detected) If someone can help with the GMER scan attachment to verify. So far McAfee, Malewarebytes, and Super Anti Spyware all say I'm clean. Under what circumstances should I run a Critical Point or Enable Rescue Scan for my SuperAntiSpyware. I have a free version that I downloaded upon the first sign of infection and don't really no the drawbacks of exploring such options. Would it damage my system or just be for a recovery? I'll wait till someone responds as I might be in the clearing and just need to be patient. Attach.zip
  18. This is my third time writing this up. Ironically, I recently purchased MBAM pro which I know is a good product despite this recent virus/malware hiccup. When I try to open Malewarebytes Anti-Malware Pro I get a Run Time Error '372': failed to load control from 'vbalGrid' from vbalsgrid06.ocx. Your version of vbalsgrid06.ocx may be outdated. I try to open Spybot Search & Destroy and I get an error. I try to open Firefox and it crashes (Currently using IE). I ran a McAfee Full Scan and found nothing infected. I tried to follow all the steps from the "I'm infected" sticky. When I tried to run the GMER Rootkit Scanner it didn't seem to load properly. I waited more than a few minutes and a Scan now button never showed up. I'll post the DDS soon. I didn't know how to compress the Attach zip file so I made it an archive. Unfortunately, whenever I try to add it as an attachment my IE freezes. Tell me what I should do with the Attach, I'll post the file if wanted. Here's the DDS file. . 19. Thank you. I probably just over analyzed the formality aspect of the address information since I didn't know for sure. Thanks again.
  20. My question is a simple question. I know that with MBAM PRO you're a life-time user, but when you order MBAM PRO are you sent a disc in a package, or are you simply emailed the license? I would prefer the latter as I don't have a CD/DVD drive with my laptop as of now. If it is, why do you have to list a delivery address? Thanks Pete
