  1. ok - after scanning this forum - used the TDSSKiller app - apparently removed the infection - rescan indicates infection removed - can I be certain of this? The "infected" webpages run clean when checked now.

  3. Ok - here we go - noticed that logging into my banking sites, a suspicious page pops in asking for detailed info that is not seen when logging in on another computer. Running Symantec Endpoint here - scan in safe mode indicates boot.mebroot found in MBR and is cleaned. Logging into website has same problem. Run Symantec Support tool - no indications found, same result on web page. Download Malwarebytes, not indication of infection - web site still infected. Run norton power eraser - web site still infected. Run fixwebroot tool from symanted and pctools, no infection found. web still infected. at my wits end here......... Win XP SP 3 networked... no other infections found on network.... yet.
