First off, let me just preface this by saying that I'm ashamed of myself for not being able to figure this out myself. :\ I'm usually pretty good about this stuff. Now that that's out of the way... I've recently come across the rtkbtmnt.exe virus/malware in the TEMP folder. During a normal boot, it slows everything down and I can't kill the process. During a Safe Mode boot, the computer runs fine. I can delete the rtkbtmnt.exe file from the temp folder, but upon starting normally, it comes back. I have Avast installed but no spyware/malware software and Avast found nothing during a scan in Safe Mode. So first off... where do I start/what do I need in order to clean this from Safe Mode? PC is an Acer laptop w/ Windows Vista 32-bit. Thanks in advance! Matt
