  1. Hi. were the files sent to comodo for analysis.? Usually sandboxed files are kept in the sandbox until comodo determines if there safe or not..
  2. Actually ive just had a look around msconfig and i believe it can be done from there. It has options to configure the boot-up.
  3. Hi. (ALEX)..thats the problem im facing at the moment.it sometimes slows down and lags..not continuously enough to ruin the game. (RGABBARD)..my os is windows7 64-bit home premium. sometimes just logging out and in solves the issue. I just wondered if giving the game process a high priority in the task manager would help.? thanks.
  4. Hi. Piriforms defraggler also defrags the windows page file at start-up.
  5. Hi. I know that regcure is a dangerous and bad product like most registry cleaners can be. That doesnt mean that the company is bad. upto the end user really.
  6. i would not use comodo at this time. recent testing has shown that the sandbox facility is somewhat lacking from previous versions plus their are other horror stories concerning comodo which are too many to mention. Just check out their forum and see for yourself in the bug section. scary stuff indeed.
  7. Hi. I have an excellent pool and snooker game installed called pool sharks. The problem is that it is rather resource heavy and sometimes uses between 80 and 100% cpu. Is there any way at all that i can cap what this software uses.? Thank you.
  8. hi . Is there another way of entering windows safe-mode other than tapping the F8 key on start-up. Im sure microsoft would have another way of doing this only im not aware of it. Thank you.
  9. i must apologise and im not trying to spam but an important bit of info about paretologic the makers of regcure. They are whitelisted by comodo and in the trusted vendors list. Thought it was worth pointing out.
  10. hi. those two cleaners you have mentioned are the exact ones that i use and have never had any problems whatsoever with them. As for regcure .it is like most registry cleaners out there a big scareware at the most.
  11. Hello. Thanks for the reply advanced setup. I must apologise as i should have been more clear about my question. Mbam is running fine and updating with no problem it is just that the actual updating window works differently than previous version. In the older version the green bar would be seen to increase along with the percentage of update shown. I know its a minor thing but just wondered if the change is intentional or is it just my installation.? thanks.
  12. Hi. That is a huge posting on comodo and i couldnt agree with you more about the firewall.it is indeed the best out there although there have been several rumours about some dodgy companies receiving iffy certificates etc.
  13. Hi . I have a toshiba satellite l500 laptop running windows7 home premium..64-bit . Many thanks.
  14. Thank you for the advice. Is pressing F2 on boot-up the only way to access the BIOS set-up.? Thanks.
  15. What utter nonsense. norton only uses about 11mb on my machine and is very light on resources. it seems to me you need to look at other applications running on your computer before blaming norton for any slow-downs. Some people prefer to have extra functions in their security programs. Its a no-win situation for norton and other companies because if norton excluded the "un-needed" functions and unnecessary pictures then people would complain there wasnt enough. It depends on how you surf the internet as to how effective the security is. many regards.
  16. The latest offering from comodo is weak compared to previous versions and several tests and reviews will show this. It may not have given you any problems but it obviously has given problems to other users and if you visit there forums you will clearly see that their signed malware list is growing by the day and the sandbox has been proven to leak malware on to the system. The list could go on.! comodo time machine corrupting hard drives to the point of being unusable. cleaning essentials wiping important windows data. Stay away from comodo would be a suitable piece of advice. Thank you.
  17. hello everyone. I recently purchased an external hard drive and just wondered if windows can actually be booted up from this.? Many thanks.
  18. Hello all. Thank you for your responses. ive decided not to install MSSE after all. I have installed Avira as an on-demand scanner .Is this a safe practice as there are no noticeable slow-downs and i have no real-time processes running at all with avira. Thanks again.
  19. Hi. Can MSE be used as an on-demand scanner without the real-time protection on? Im using norton internet secirity. But i would like if possible to use MSE as an on demand scanner. Thank you.
  20. Hi. Norton is very good nowadays.in fact i think it is excellent and somebody earlier said it was not the best product around at the moment. An explanation of that statement would be appreciated. I was a comodo user but their product gets worse every year. Norton is very light and i hardly notice it is on my computer.
  21. hi. i recently installed the latest version of malwarebytes and the update screen is acting a bit weird. there is no update percentage and the green bar doesnt move at all...is this normal? Thank you.
