  1. I thank you for the response, I would love to download anything at this point. I will try to load CCleaner, the darn computer really wont let me do much of anything productive as all Google searches end up with random sites. If there's a way to transfer CCleaner from a CD from a healthy computer please let me know. Again, thank you for the info.
  2. Hi, I have used Malwarebytes on another computer and it cleaned the FakeAntivirus2008 well. Even with TrendPCillin Malwarebytes was the ONLY thing that could get rid of it! I thought this was going to be easy, but his computer is doing real weird things. I coundn't install Malwarebytes from Google as it kept redirecting to different sites. The very first thing that shows up on the monitor is virus heat followed by a scan followed by a whole list of results/infections. Of course, there are 2 icons flashing in the lower right corner toolbar telling me the computer is infected and to download certified software to remove. I thought I would try to download Malwarebytes from a different site, and went to CNet, it actually allowed me to do so and did the update and install. The problem is I can't open Malwarebytes; I dbl click, right click, it wont load. In the meantime I still get all the flashing icons telling me it's infected and to make a purchase. Also, the Google screen comes up without me even trying to go online during this process. What to do? Thank you!
