  1. Thx updating to the latest version, in test seems to have solved the problem, however if i experiance more crap shutdowns of mbam i will let you all know. thx for your help dude.
  2. My computer must be tied down so tight mbam support tool is failing.
  3. When my computer goes in to sleep mode then i wake it, mbam has turned in to the free version, restarting the computer results in either mbam not starting or starting as the free version, the results of restarting or completely turning off the computer then starting up again yields the same random result, it starts again as the free version or completely fails to start. only a re-install solves the problem. .
  4. https://estore.malwarebytes.com/order/checkout.php?CART_ID=9a0cbbe4813e9c0a75da4c164f99325f if this is for real, how comes, no matter what country i choose the money is still the same, England, UK is not in the list of countrys. .
  5. OK derps, its been sometime now, it's refusing to start at computer start up. i can not find what is shutting it down. or preventing it from starting. i am using win~ 7 64 bit on a samsung S3511 if you have not found the answer and regardless of many hours of searching the hard drive, i can not find it. i have spent almost 120 hours looking through the registry, i can not find it. i am gonna reset this computer with a clean install after a hard drive clean. i wanna buy some useless stuff on EBay. .
  6. not the exact one, but the one i first got claimed it was adobe flash player.
  7. Here you go. eventually it get completely shut down, the icon goes from the taskbar and the services were shut down.
  8. I just made a system back up. i will go back there and try to recreate the situation and i will post a screen shot.
  9. I keep mbae icon on my task bar as i do with mbam and my anti virus system. for an instant visual of what is going on. it went off as soon as the fake flash update came up.
  10. Yes it certainly did. it happened as i was flicking through the pages. pop ups were occurring then suddenly bang, Off it went. then the fake adobe flash update came up.
  11. perhaps it should be added to the malicious website list.
  12. I stumbled upon this website. http://www.suryadewa.com/ going through the site a new tab opened in firefox. Malwarebytes anti exploit Turned Off (presumably by a script running on the site) then i got a message that Flash player was out of date and i should update it. obviously i got out of there and emptied all my temp folders and checked my app data folders, luckily i have found nothing that should not be there. full scan with mbam and herd protect found nothing. i just thought you should all know about it (mbam a~e~) getting turned off.
  13. just put the cursor on the mbam icon in the taskbar. it said victory awaits. what the feck is that ? .
  14. OK, seems my old dad was trying to get malwarebytes, but ended up with Dream Aquarium and some desktop help garbage plus the ask toolbar. running the real malwarebytes chameleon it managed to remove virtually everything (123 items), i ran ADWCleaner to grab the rest. job done. Thanks all.
  15. i am not able to take a look till saturday but as soon as i do, i will send in my findings. thanks for a virtually instant answer.
  16. has anyone heard of a fake malwarebytes app/program ? my old dad just asked for help with this program called malewarebytes that is holding his computer to ransom, i i know for a fact , this is not you but. i have not yet had time to install everything on his computer apart from basic anti virus protection, Malwarebytes (yours) has not yet been installed. so i presume it must be a fake program. a little yes or no from you lot might help in the restoration of his comp. also this info might help you. thanks.
  17. PS. XP can not be set to delayed start, so i will have to just do without the update notification on that one.
  18. @ daledoc1 Setting the MBAM service and the MBAM scheduler to Automatic delayed start, solves the problem. not exactly ideal but it will have to do until i see a another solution on here. i can not be bothered messing about with it any more. Thanks for your time and suggestions.
  19. @ daledoc1 On the XP-SP3 computer i ran the mbam-clean.exe, i restarted the computer, i disabled the eset nod32 antivirus 5, then downloaded the latest version of mbam from cnet, (the link you gave directed me there) still with the anti virus system disabled i installed it. i declined the offer to update it. i then activated it keeping the enable protection module option checked, the keep protection module up-to-date automatically option unchecked. everything was checked on the protection tab. i then clicked on the settings tab, then on sceduler settings. clicked on Add and then selected update, in the frequency drop down menu, i selected On-reboot, checked the box, show tooltip balloon after succesful update. then clicked on Add, then on Exit. restarted computer. still no tooltip balloon after succesful update. (waited a full two minutes) manually checked updates, it showed i have the latest database version. .
  20. Re: network connection is not ready when the event is fired. if that was so, then surely it would not update.
  21. windows 7 home premium, with Microsoft security essentials. windows 7 pro, with eset nod32 antivirus 5 set to update at boot. XP sp3, with eset nod32 antivirus 5 set to update at boot. all three machines have malwarebytes (1.65.1.1000) set to update at boot. Show tooltip balloon after succesful update, is not working. any ideas as to why it is not working. i know it is not a major issue, but it niggles me that i can not see instant confirmation that all is well.
  22. Sorry but i could not see how to edit a post, adding further to above. Sorry i do not ever add anything to any exceptions list, malwarebytes has never been a problem before so i am not adding it to any exceptions list now. i trust in the programs i use, not 100% but enough to know that if i start adding things to exceptions list. i am putting my computer at risk. .
