PC # 1 MBAM working fine and PC # 2 MBAM installed but shows error; will not open. I copied rules.ref from PC#1 and was able to open and scan PC#2. MBAM showed no infections on PC#2. I ran update for MBAM on PC#2 showed 7+ meg file downloading and then same error code. But again I could replace rules.ref file from PC # 1 and MBAM would open and run scan. Ideas on the rules.ref file?

I ran cleaner, restarted PC, disabled Norton, downloaded file from Beeping Computer. Closed IE, clicked on setup, right away error came up; The setup files are corrupted. Could firewalls be blocking? I hate to be online without any protection!

That fix did not work for me? Running XP pro sp3 Ran file, MB appeared to be updating and same error code pops up?
