  1. Created a new user, and yes, the same error as before happened. Thanks for all the help I'm looking for a blank DVD now to back things up. Thanks again!
  2. I've deleted the folder where the C:\Users\Annabelle entry was. Is it okay to create a new account now? It's okay, I have iTunes on my laptop (which I mainly use for college) and it's having no %APPDATA%\ errors of the sort, so I'll just transfer my music from my backup folder to there. Thanks for the help with trying to solve it despite.
  3. Do I run the microsoft fix it or follow the 'let me fix it myself' instructions? If so, does the instruction: 4. Right-click the SID that you want to remove, and then click Delete. mean this:
  4. "The specified path '%APPDATA%\' is unavailable" - when I clicked okay, the actual Microsoft Fix It window had a message saying: 'This Microsoft Fix It failed to process'.
  5. The %APPDATA%\ error appeared again, and 'Microsoft Fix It failed its process'.
  6. The restart didn't work: These Windows services are started: Akamai NetSession Interface AMD External Events Utility Andrea RT Filters Service Apple Mobile Device Application Experience Application Information Background Intelligent Transfer Service Base Filtering Engine Bonjour Service COM+ Event System Credential Manager Cryptographic Services DCOM Server Process Launcher Dell Printer Status Database Dell Printer Status Watcher Desktop Window Manager Session Manager DHCP Client Diagnostic Policy Service Diagnostic Service Host Dia
  7. I created the account - when I used the name 'Annabelle' it had a warning about using incorrect characters (such as ;,:" etc) when I was using none, so I changed the name to 'Anna'. The name 'Anna' worked, but when attempting to log onto the account I got an error saying "The User Profile Service failed the logon. User profile cannot be loaded." and logged me off.
  8. I'm deleting the 'Annabelle' folder now - and a popup has come up saying 'The file [mixture of letters & numbers] is a system file. If you remove it, Windows or another program may not work correctly' Should I click yes to delete it?
  9. Backed everything up into a file on the desktop.
  10. A different one - My Dads. I can't access my other account, it seems to have been deleted, but I can still access all my files.
