  1. Please note that hxxp://www.raxco.com/ is no longer blocked by Malwarebytes. Consequently, this website can no longer be used for testing Web Protection.
  2. Speaking of settings, I think it would be a great feature for Malwarebytes to implement an option to import and export settings.
  3. Sounds good! Thanks for the info. I have always used high protection mode with a couple of individual settings for Kaspersky. Anyway, good to know that you can replicate the Kaspersky issue now. Well done!
  4. Due to the fact that Malwarebytes is currently not installed on my machine, I felt the need to modify my KIS settings earlier today (in fact, I'm still "playing" with the settings a bit). Unfortunately, I don't have the original settings any more which I used when Malwarebytes was installed. I'm currently using standard "maximum" settings for KIS. Edit. Please note that Malwarebytes Web Protection did not properly work even without KIS. I tried to access a website with the top level domain .top, which should be blocked by Malwarebytes, but this website was not blocked. So I could easily access a site that should have been blocked by Malwarebytes. Something's not quite right with the Web Protection module (in addition to the incompatibility with KIS).
  5. Thank you very much for your kind words, @exile360 I uninstalled Malwarebytes an hour ago due to the incompatibility issues described above. I will keep an eye on this thread and on the development of Malwarebytes. I'm sure this issue will be corrected sooner or later, and I'll definitely be back as soon as Malwarebytes is one hundred per cent compatible with Kaspersky products. Until then, take all good care of yourselves. You guys rock!
  6. Sorry, but if this Malwarebytes Web Protection issue cannot be fixed, Malwarebytes will be removed. There is no other option for me. I am just not willing to use real-time security software that does not do its job properly (due to incompatibilities or for any other reason not known to me). Maybe I will keep Malwarebytes as an on-demand scanner, but its real-time modules will be disabled here if this issue cannot be fixed permanently. Sorry to be so strict here.
  7. No! I'm really strict here. If security software (or any other software) does not work as expected/advertised, it will be removed.
  8. I also tried MS Edge - same problem, so it's not browser-related. OpenVPN is part of the Kaspersky Security Suite (bundled software). It's some kind of a trial version. It is always disabled unless you manually enable it. It is never enabled here, so it is not a VPN issue, either. Anyway, thanks for your help.
  9. @Kaspersky users Are there any Kaspersky users here who can reproduce the Web Protection problem described in this thread? I'm just curious to know whether it's just me who can't get Web Protection to work properly or whether Malwarebytes and Kaspersky are not compatible with each other. Here is a website for testing purposes: hxxp://www.raxco.com/ This website should be blocked by Malwarebytes. If it isn't, Web Protection does not work for you, either. Thanks in advance for testing.
  10. @Porthos I found all the sys files on my 32bit machine and added them to the list of my KIS exclusions. I also added the Program folders of Malwarebytes to that list. I rebooted my machine and went to hxxp://www.raxco.com/ again. Well, same results. Malwarebytes did NOT block this website. I also excluded the Kaspersky folder in Malwarebytes but, of course, this doesn't help either. Malwarebytes is definitely a keeper, and your support is really great, but I will have to remove Malwarebytes if it doesn't work here.
  11. The exclusions you mentioned above do not exist here because I have a 32bit machine. So far, I only excluded the Malwarebytes folder found in C:\ Programme Files. So what exactly should I exclude in Kaspersky? I don't think this will make a difference because the problems I have with Malwarebytes could not be fixed even after uninstalling KIS. Not blocked for me. Might have been unblocked. Interesting. I thought all .top websites are currently being blocked by Malwarebytes. Hm...
  12. I reinstalled the latest version of Malwarebytes on top of the current version that's running on my machine. As expected, this didn't help either, same results: hxxp://www.raxco.com/ is being blocked, whereas the .top website mentioned above can be accessed. Due to the fact that Web Protection does not work even now that KIS is not running here, I am now going to reinstall Kaspersky. I do hope you will be able to fix this incompatibility issue between Kaspersky and Malwarebytes, If not, well, I guess I will have to remove Malwarebytes from machine because there is no point in using a security app that doesn't work (at least it doesn't work here).
  13. And here is another test. If I'm not mistaken, the top level domain .top is still being blocked by Malwarebytes. Consequently, the website hxxps://de.bio.top/ should also be blocked. Despite the fact that Kaspersky is currently not installed on my machine, Malwarebytes does NOT block this .top website. So Web Protection still doesn't work as expected here. Good to know that hxxp://www.raxco.com/ gets blocked ,but blocked top level domains are still being ignored by Malwarebytes. So even without KIS running on my machine, Web Protection doesn't work.

  17. Too late. I uninstalled KIS a couple of minutes ago. And here is my NEW test result: hxxp://www.raxco.com/ is being blocked by Malwarebytes! Consequently, there seems to be a compatibility issue between KIS and Malwarebytes. So what am I supposed to do now? I feel sort of "naked" without KIS, and I'm not willing to go online without it. I do hope you can fix this issue between KIS and Malwarebytes. For the sake of completeness, I will upload a fresh MB-Check-Results.zip. Let's see if it is complete when Kaspersky is not installed on my machine. mb-check-results.zip
  18. OK, let me try one more thing. I will save my Kaspersky config and then remove the entire security suite. Will be back in a couple of minutes.
  19. Just tried another top level domain which should be blocked by Malwarebytes: .wang hxxp://en.nic.wang/ Same old strory - Malwarebytes does NOT block it here. Sigh!
  20. I turned off the entire security suite of Kaspersky, which should include secure connection. BTW I just tried to reach a .top domain (hxxps://de.bio.top), which should be blocked by Malwarebytes, but it wasn't. Again, Web Protection didn't work. One more thing regarding the secure connection. You only get some MB free per day. If you want to use it, you have to turn it on. Otherwise, secure connection is turned off and doesn't do anything.
  21. Could you send me a couple of links to blocked websites or "dummy" links, so that I can test Web Protection? As mentioned above, iptest.malwarebytes.com is being blocked by Malwarebytes here, but others are not.
