  1. Was very helpful and prompt in trying to resolve my issue.

  2. Alright well thank you for your time and effort with trying to resolve this issue, at least now I know it's not being caused by any sort of malware and is most likely a defective GPU. I'll just have to wait again to get yet another replacement card that hopefully will work this time.
  3. Well scratch that, the new card is even worse, threw a code 43 with visual artifacts all over the place when I installed it. So that's good.
  4. Same behavior in safe mode. I just got in an RMA for my GPU so i'm going to install it and see if it fixes anything. The only other thing I could think is that my GPU was defective.
  5. Removing my 64-bit java didn't do anything, my drive IS an SSD, DMA is enabled for all applicable ATA channels, though several of them simply do not have that option at all. It's not that it's grayed out, it's just not there. I don't have an antivirus installed at the moment, and I don't use windows firewall nor UAC because they're both inhibiting more than useful. 10. Alright so the MBAM scan only found the bitcoin miners assosciated with...well my bitcoin miner, but I did Quarantine them anyway as I don't really mine anymore, and the log for rougekiller is following this comment, but you underlined and bolded custom adobe host file which I'm guessing is to imply that I have that...but I have no idea why I would have that, I only have the adobe reader, I don't have acrobat or anything. So given that I don't know why I would have a custom host file, which I'm guessing would be used to deny adobe from communicating with its authentication servers, I don't kno
  11. So I've been trying to find a fix for this issue for a couple weeks now and I just can't seem to figure out anything that works. My PC suddenly started lagging videos and flash content whenever my mouse moves over them, and is even lagging games now. I'm getting really heavy feeling mouse response when trying to play games like Osu!, like my mouse is being bogged down by something, and getting video lag, even though I'm not showing any frame loss. Things that really shouldn't be lagging are lagging heavily and I can't figure out what's going on. I tried a full uninstall of both my mouse driver
  12. sorry I almost forgot about this thread. I can't get to it tonight, but I'll run that tomorrow and get back to you. Also, I ran MBAM in safe mode, as well as running AVG via its command line utility in safe mode, and neither of those saw anything.
  13. While connected to the internet using a wireless hotspot through the phone, the speeds were a bit sluggish, so I did a ipconfig -flushdns and then checked to make sure there wasn't anything in the list. Upon checking the list, there were a number of obviously malicious entries, such as "www.lolyousuck.com", "www.penisland.com", and other such addresses. I manually blocked the three main ones that I could see using AVG's firewall, and using windows firewall on my system. On my system (not this one that the scan is from), this caused the problem to go away, and no more entries were found. Howeve
  14. Oh I forgot though! Do you know any reason why my network card driver updates simply don't work? I really want to update those, but they just don't work...
  15. Yes, actually. That most recent thing, with the uninstalling of those older java items seems to have fixed the problem, and re-installing the video driver fixed the blue screen issue. Thanks a bunch for the help with that. For future reference, do I need to go back and look at java every time I update to make sure it's not keeping older versions and causing problems?
  16. http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=24236203 And as for the security software, if you mean like an anti-virus, I don't use one. I used to use AVG, but found that it just slows things down and gets in the way of my programs a lot, and got tired of it. I'm used to computer enough that I'm not stupid enough to download a virus, so the only thing that I would be vulnerable to would be a direct attack. The odds of that happening are slim, and if it did, an antivirus would not help. Furthermore, in the event of an attack, I know what to look for, and would simply unplug my internet cable,
  17. Also, after I updated those graphics drivers, I am now bluescreening on youtube every now and then, and my lag problem still isn't fixed. Furthermore, the ads for the videos that lag, don't lag, but then the videos do. If that tells you anything special about what's wrong. And again, if I directly go to the video's source, outside of the embed, it runs better.

  19. I feel dirty now, here's your link http://www.pcpitstop.com/betapit/sec.asp?conid=24216811
  20. I'm using the firefox plugin to do this, so the URL is just http://www.pcpitstop.com/neptune.asp, the actual results are in a javascript object embedded in the page.
  21. okay I found the test you wanted me to do, and have the results, but there's no link to them or anything that I can see...
  22. I went to the link you provided, and after installing a plugin and a bunch of other stuff, installed the PC matic program and ran the scan, but I didn't get any sort of link to the results...did I do the wrong thing? Also, if it helps at all, a couple interesting things about the video lag I've noticed are that the lag is reduced a good bit (though still present) when using chrome instead of firefox (and I hate chrome, so this is not a solution), and also, even when using firefox, if I go into the source code at blip.tv and pull the direct link out, viewing the video as a straight video file
  23. Hello, my computer suddenly started running incredibly slowly without any reason a couple days ago, the main thing being that when I try to play videos from the internet on sites like blip.tv and hulu, they are incredibly laggy, when they used to play without any problems. I'm also getting a lot more lag in my games suddenly. I've run spybot, malwarebytes, and advanced system care, but the problem persists. I'm hoping someone can find something in this log file that shows why I'm having these problems. Logfile of Trend Micro HijackThis v2.0.2 Scan saved at 1:11:14 PM, on 2/25/2011 Platform: Wi
