  1. Sorry if I missed this information on your web site, but what are the minimum and/or periodic purchase requirements to become a reseller?
  2. As I recall, the guy's name is Gene from North Carolina. Since one of his two computers is XP Home, he's not using 64 bit. My guess is that he has something installed on both computers that the protection module doesn't like. Someone asked him to send HJT logs, so maybe you will find the solution there.
  3. No, I don't know the caller. He is working with MBAM Tech Support, so they are aware of the issue. My question is, how widespread is the problem?
  4. Yesterday I used MBAM to remove a variant of Antivirus Pro 2009. It worked perfectly except that it did not fix the "interstitial page" problem with IE. (When you go to a web page on IE, you're told that you are not protected and asked whether you want to continue.) I spent quite a long time looking for the problem, thinking that it was a BHO, but I was not able to identify the culprit. I downloaded and ran several other utilities, and they all came up clean. When I rebooted the computer, the problem was gone. My question is, why didn't MBAM get rid of the intercept problem? Or, would that page have been eliminated if I had rebooted, as I should? I'm a BIG fan of MBAM.
  5. I'm a participant in a weekly computer radio show. A few weeks ago, I unequivocally recommended MBAM with the caveat that I have never tried the real time version. A listener who purchased the program called in today. He said that every time he runs the program on his XP Pro computer, it hard locks. He tried the same on his XP Home computer. Same result. To the company's credit, they have been trying to work with him to find the cause of the problem, but the responses have been slow in coming. At this point, he has removed the program from his computer. A co-host mentioned that he had researched problems with the real time version, and he recommended against installing it at this point. What is the status of the lockup problems? (They are discussed in other threads here.) When these problems are resolved, what are the typical solutions that are being found? I was getting ready to purchase 20 licenses for a client, but I'm on hold at the moment. Their computers are all XP Pro, and they REALLY need real time protection.
  6. I will definitely pass along this forum to him. Thanks. While I have your attention, how well does the Pro version work to prevent infestations? I have a non-profit organization I help. My guess is that they really need to Pro version, but the funds are not there yet. I need to assure them that it is worthwhile to save up and spend the money.
  7. A friend is having trouble getting rid of Antivirus 2009 with MWB. The only times I've had to use it, it worked perfectly, except when the user had a rootkit. Every time he deletes it, it comes back. What's the secret to getting rid of it once and for all? He has XP.
