I start reading through posts, and find that the mods and admins here use "Hacker" to describe anything illegal here. No, they are not the same thing, and you are making it that much easier for the mass media to completely misuse words like that. Hacker - (The definition is usually disputed) = People committed to circumvention of computer security but also includes those who debug or fix security problems. Pirate = Someone who is pirating software. Notice stealing and piracy are different (You do not remove possession of the software/data from the people who you got it from) Cracker = A person cracking the software a pirate will download and use. Script Kiddie = a derogatory term used to describe those who use scripts or programs developed by others to attack computer systems and networks and deface websites. Does this post matter, will it change anything? Probably not.
