just now updated to mb4, and looking at ui which most is light/white colored i just goint to request it and find this thread so yeah joining to vote for Dark/Night-Theme it would be even greater if it can auto-theme to match windows theme (either light or dark/night)

hello i just come to check for latest news, and noticing that release-history on main sites (https://www.malwarebytes.com/support/releasehistory/) not uptodate reading on support section, malwarebytes team seems going to release 3.8.x soon? so imho its good idea to keep the release-history pages updated while its not really important because latest-update always pushed thru client but sometimes like me now, i just go to sites and for checking out latest version and also what changes in the latest release. thanks

hello everyone with latest version, i am issue with my firefox, it become random freeze/lag ... not sure if it related to add-on or what, at first i thought the bug in lastest update causing it (51.0.1) but then what i notice is from firefox crash report : 1 mbae.dll mbae.dll@0x236db 3 mbae.dll mbae.dll@0x23a43 i believe mbae.dll is malwarebytes files, how can i make malwarebytes less protective with firefox ? i know i can turn off firefox in "protected application" but it seems not recommended, for testing i disabled it at the moment and see if this fix random freeze in my firefox i tried disable "web protection" but as it seems more to ip/domain filtering rather than looking/hooking firefox, it not fix issue with my freezing/lag firefox anyone else got similar issue ? or someone can recommend me how to dealt with this issue

Any Malwarebytes staff can share with latest updates regarding this issue ? as we (I) still getting tons of mbam chameleon failed to obtain name in event logs

Hello everyone i have few questions + little issue here with web exclusions so i want to whitelist few url that blocked by malwarebytes do i need to add www. before domain name to whitelist? or with or without www. it will cover all .... can i make rule something like *.whitelisteddomain.* ? so anything in front and either .com/.net/.org etc. whitelisted the issue i am getting with web exlusions is that, even i add domain name to whitelist, it still not letting view the sites... i need to add server IP also to whitelist.... is that they way web-exclusions work ? or they more better way for whitelisting domain thanks in advance

I am also having this issue.. not sure if this issue happen on specific system or os (I am on win10 64bit) hope this get fixed soon, even this is minor issue that only in event-log and we can safely ignore it but its not acceptable to let it spaming in events

i am experiencing same issue on my system... windows10 64bit pro after updating to 2.1.8 license were rejected, i got error code 404 said installation token not found rolling back to 2.1.6 everything went back to normal someone on office need to fix this asap

pardon me for this wild guess, without proper test/check but ever since installed 2.1.6 my memory usage seems went higher than usual ? wondering if 2.1.6 using abit more memory than previous ver? beside malwarebytes, its possible that windows update causing it because that the only changes installed on my system recently

nvm my last post ... i test it again, deleting several logs (selecting more than last one) and it crash even with self-protection module disabled so if i pick more than 5 logs seems it gonna crash ? will try clean install later

update: just doing quick test once, i disable self-protection module and then delete some logs, and got no error/crash so it seems this issue only effect when self-protection module enabled

here how i replicate my issue: 1. select several logs and delete it (if only 1 log seems no problem) 2. the logs immediately showing something not right (date + location become blank) 3. just pick any logs, and view, it will crash immediately, basically doing other things after step 2 will result crash NOTE: i am using self-protection module, i have yet to check if i still get the issue with disabling self-protection module or not

maybe because already installed on your system so installer detect previous installation and just update it try uinstall it first... also while i am not sure but u can try redownload the installer, incase you got wrong installer (premium version installer) that dont have option free option hope helps well malwarebytes people should can help u more regarding this

hello everyone ok i think i have little issue with malwarebytes here iirc starting version 2.** malwarebytes no longer use txt for their logs... they switch to .xml based logs and for security reason we need admin privilage to delete it i understand the log can be important to detect when things go bad but i am on admin account, still can't remove/delete logs directly from C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware\Logs and i dont know what is wrong, but deleting from malwarebytes -> history then selecting several logs always give me crash i believe its not because slow hdd as i am using ssd well for this i think i can find workaround without problem, but this isnt good and i dont know whether this is known issue/bug (if yes, u guys need to solve it quick) or there is problem on my system, if so then i need some help to fix this also do developer think to make auto-deletion function for old logs ? i know those logs wont eat hdd space (i got like 300+ logs and only 1mb+) but i think its good if malwarebytes can automatically remove old logs itself, like logs that older than 6months or so

i been testing about this for few days if i let my pc on 24/7 for few days, the program run normal, but dashboard last scan time is showing wrong time scan progress : showing wrong time (basically it showing first scan after the pc on) last scan: is never updated since last next scan after the pc on if i restart malwarebytes (of couse need to restart mbamscheduler.exe too) it return to normal but like i said above, despite dashboard showing wrong time, mbamscheduler doing its works without issue, daily scan running normaly which i can see from application logs want to know is this known issue ? well its kinda minor issue, but hope can be fixed soon

regarding my issue, it obvious it caused by malwarebytes website protection and also for rootkit, the anti-rootkit (beta) alone have same issue, so its not caused by broken installation process so suggestion for clean removal process seems not needed might try public beta, which should fix some issue in current version but for now i will leave website protection disabled, as i not really needed anyway other than 2 issue i mention above, everything else works well so far

hello everyone ok i just installed this version today, in past i never use website protection because its annoying when visiting some website it giving short of false notification so with the latest version dashboard mention that my system is not fully protected i thought everything should be better by now, and i also see that i can set various things on "web exclusions" so yeah why not enable the website protection But it completely crash my system *i keep my system clean, i can even count complete crash ever since first install mine, it less than 10times well i know this not many person behaviour, but i have habit keeping lots tabs on firefox and because firefox also count previous pages as 1 tabs, right now i have like 1500+ tab (inreal its like about 100tabs) first crash is few hours after i enable website protection in all of sudden, my system freeze/crash, forcing me to use reset button on my pc case 2nd crash, it immediatly after boot then when launch firefox, it crash/freeze completely... reset button again as i learn it from malwarebytes, i disable website protection on next boot it went back to normal BUT for unknown reason, there no Firefox Session Restore i will be really pissed if i lost my session, i really glad i am using session manager add-ons.... because this recover my session, not the latest but its like yesterday session *if someone telling me to use bookmark, yes i use bookmark alot, but something that need only once for now, i dont want to bookmark those, also for things that often i visit, i tends to let them open hope malwarebytes team can improve website protection system

hi daleloc1 thanks for the reply and lots of information yeah those information are correct, the uninstaller leaving all things behind, it seems what their uninstaller do is removing desktop shortcut and probably disable window services... i never find such bad uninstaller but again the program still on beta phase, so probably developer still focusing in the program stability/reliability rather than other else we will see about that later so far manual removal went okay there some registery locked (like HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Enum\Root\LEGACY_BSTHDDRV) but can be removed by changing the permission i am not sure whether there still some registry left behind or not, but for now the only things i want to remove is "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Bluestacks" registry root/folder... the folder didnt have any registry in it, but i can't remove it i tried some registry editor software, and with the software, i tried to force change permission and delete after the folder got deleted, it just return back in seconds right now i am gonna try PCRegedit, it seems i can't remove/delete it after login to windows if it still now work, i will post the dds log/result and ask for another help in here thank you
