  1. the program isn't auto starting with windows, even though it's set to do so, and the automatic malware and malicious website modules are always disabled. if I manually start the program, and go to settings and enable those, the dashboard still says real time protection is turned off, hitting FIX NOW doesn't change anything. I uninstalled, rebooted, reinstalled, no change. I have run repeated scans with MB and my AV, nothing is ever detected. CheckResults.txt FRST.txt Addition.txt
  2. it was easier to post cell phone shots than do screenshots.
  3. there are no pending threats, I have scanned, checked, rescanned and checked again. I have installed this in similar systems several times (win8x64 and win7x64 with NIS2014) and never had an issue or jump through any hoops to get it to work. the firewall is NOT blocking it. it will phone home and download updates no problem, if the database is current per the server, then it tells me there is no update available, but it just still keeps saying it is out of date. whatever part of the software that checks if the DB is current is having an issue.
  4. I run norton internet security 2014 on all my systems, I have never had to make changes to it to get MB to work or update. that being said, I checked it in the firewall settings and mbam.exe and mbamservice.exe are both set to "allow" MB is connecting and updating, it just doesn't know it has. I can click fix, it connects, it downloads, it shows that it has the current version is installed, yet still says it is out of date. if I click update again, then it says there is no update available
  5. I also ran McAfee removal tool to make sure it was gone, still no change.
  6. here is checkresults, sorry, thought I had attached it before CheckResults.txt
  7. I bought a new laptop and it came with mcafee, I ran all the uninstall options it gave me, it shouldn't still be installed, it doesn't show in my start menu or CP. Norton is my preferred.
  8. Iran the diagnostics, here are my files. Addition.txt FRST.txt Shortcut.txt
  9. I'm having the same issue, ran the cleaner and re-installed, check the scan history for anything that needed to be dealt with, still constantly says database out of date.
  10. when I try to start MB, nothing happens.. I fire up the task manager, and you see MBAM.exe start, then stop. I tried running the chameleon, it says it completes, but MBAM never fires up. spybot picks up nothing, immunet and norton aren't finding anything. 11. I use norton, it isn't norton, it is one of the versions of flags, as it checks the IP of every site you visit, I disabled that, no more popup message about blocked IPs
  12. I was getting this and was getting annoyed with it as well, are you using the "ultimate chrome flag" extension or one similar? where it checks the IP of the website yo are visiting and tells you where it is? I found disabling that stops the problem
