  1. When I turned on my computer today and before I downloaded and ran ComboFix I was able to access both the previously blocked websites. I was still able to access both afterwards as well. However, now I am back to the same symptoms where I cannot access either site from this computer. It's not just that I cannot log in, but rather the pages will not load, but other sites work fine. I get the "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" error. When I ping either site they cannot be found. Did you see anything unusual in the logs? It's all jiberish to me.
  2. I closed the window with the green bar, deleted the previous version of ComboFix and downloaded it again from the second link labeled as "here". This time it worked. Note that today when I started my computer and before downloading ComboFix I was able to access the previously unaccessible websites. I ran ComboFix and the report follows. Thanks again very much for the help. ComboFix 11-01-02.04 - swo_dog 01/03/2011 10:39:56.1.2 - x86 Microsoft
  3. When I clicked on the file I got the following: "Some installation files are corrupt. Please download a fresh copy of ComboFix.exe." The only option was to click OK in that error window. Now a small window is up with "comboFix" and a green bar below that indicates it is running but I did not get the first window indicating it is preparing to run. Appears to be stuck and not processing.

  5. One computer on my network at home cannot access two sites: www.msn.com and www.facebook.com. No other computer has any issues with accessing these sites. The Windows firewall is turned off and Norton 360 does not have these sites restricted. I even turned off Norton briefly to test for access without success. I have tried to restore the computer to a time prior to this issue occuring, but the computer encounters an error each time and cannot complete the restoration. I downloaded, updated, and scanned with malwarebytes free version, but it did not find any threats. I have updated and scanned with Norton 360 and it did not find any threats either. Since only one computer has this issue I suspect I have some kind of virus. Has anyone experienced a similar issue like this? Anyone have any suggestions to fix? Thanks for any help. swo_dog
