  1. Hi, Does anyone from MB know if the new Chrome Extension that Microsoft is reportedly pushing out to Office 365 Pro users will be marked as a PUP for it's unwanted behavior? https://arstechnica.com/gadgets/2020/01/microsofts-sneaky-plan-to-switch-chrome-searches-from-google-to-bing/ The article says that the extension will forceably and permanently change the default search engine to BING regardless of current setting (unless you are already using Bing, then it ignores you) In my opinion, that is a potentially unwanted program behavior and I hope that Malwarebytes will block it from executing (unless explicitly allowed by the user). Please advise.
  2. I just today received a PUP detection on my registered Power ISO 7 x64 executable. I have never received a adware suggestion or had my homepage changed... how can we resolve this other than telling Malwarebytes to ignore this detection?
  3. Hi, I have been using Malwarebytes for years and never had a problem, but today my brother-in-law asked me to clean up his laptop. He is using Avast anti-virus and during Malwarebytes installation, it found two root kit entries in two MWB .sys files. Is this possible? I installed MWB 1.50.1.1100 and the Avast is version 101227-1. The PC is running Win Vista Home Premium service pack 2 on a Toshiba A205-5804 lappy. Smash
