[Error during Update]

Hi Ron

Thanks for the offer but my machine is older and I am planning

to get a new one soon-have not had a virus using the current

conditions in over 3 years! I use clamwin portable as well so

I know I am safe-updated mbam twice today with no more errors.

I have 2 usb mass storage drives and I backup everything so thanks

for your concern,I am slightly mentally disabled so it would be too

hard to upgrade to SP3 as I could not do an SFC,I can now as I have

my i386 folder on my machine with the registry pointing to it so I

dont have to use the disc,my computer flys-it is really fast and I

dont worry about it-if I told you what version of IE I am using you

would freak out! LOL....Thanks Again

PS never had a blue screen of death and I scan the drive for errors

weekly as well as defrag,I also have a windows ME machine that is

still going strong after 13 years!!I talked to a tech years ago from

HP and his secret was always defrag and check for errors daily.

Thanks Ron but that will not happed as my windows update

is broken-would have to do a repair install which I choose not

to do,but has that problem I mentioned ever happened before to

anyone?I have never had any problems with mbam??

Howdy

Was updating the current version last night ang got an error message,malwarebytes has encounterd a problem and need to close.The details were in the event viewer as follows:

Faulting application mbam.exe, version 1.75.0.1

faulting module mbamnet.dll, version 1.70.0.0

END

I restarted my PC then it updated fine,any help would be cool guys and gals,I use XP SP2

Thanks exile-I have been updating new versions just a pain as I always do a clean uninstall,I use the removal tool as that works great,have had problems in the past letting it update itself,no biggie and thanks again.

[New version making xp sluggish 1.60.0.61]

just installed yesturday and this version (free) is making my pc sluggish,I removed version 1.51.2.1300 and used the cleanup tool-was getting the load database error,tried the delete rules.ref but still kept getting the errors-my quistion on that is should I reinstall the old version and will the updates work in that version and if yes for how long? This new version is again making my PC act funny-I did not start the trial of the full version and do not wish to- I use XP Home SP2 (I will not install service pack 3) just so you know.

any Ideas from you smart people? Not that I am stupid just odd (HeeHee)

Ok but why is there a maximixe box in the upper right like all other programs? And I dont have it on a cell phone- I see a reson for wanting it maximized because that is what I want! Spybot open maximized and so does superantispyware!!

[scanning problem]

I did a scan and it found something so I added to ignore list then clicked the main menu button and it said a scan is in progress and your settings will be lost? The scan was done,so I hit the exit button and same message then closed the program,no log was saved??Using the current version-it did this in the last version as well-the item does get added to the ignore list.
