  1. Tried to scan explorer.exe on www.virustotal.com, but it dosen't seem like I am allowed to. This popup shows up: http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/9335/virusk.png "explorer Operation did not complete successfully beacause the file contains a virus."
  2. I got a tip and downloaded Hitman Pro & scanned with it. It found malware within Wininit.exe, and had a action for it, "delete: on reboot" or something. When I pressed next the program said something about repairing windows files and then restarted the computer. When I scanned again after the reboot it did not found any problems. It appears to have cleaned wininit.exe from maleware! Which is really good! Sadly, when I scanned with Avast! again, it still finds that explorer.exe has problems with the same malware, thought it does not list wininit.exe anymore.
  3. Hello! Note that my english is not that good but I try to explain my problem. For a long time I have had problems with my computer, explorer.exe stopped working from time to time and when I restarted it, it worked for about 30 seconds before the same error pops up again. I found a "solution"" to this problem a few days ago by turning off nod32, and so it worked great. No more annoying popups that explorer stopped working, yay... Some week later, yesterday - I uninstall nod32 totally as it tangled so much, and install the free version of avast! instead. Ran a virus scan and it turns out that I have a malware/trojan/virus called Win32: Bamital-AO, which braces itself to the explorer.exe and Wininit.exe. Is there anyone who can help me with my problem? I really don't wanna format my computer since I have really important information which contains large files about things to do with my job. I become enormously grateful for a response, or questions if I missed something or should to something diffrent! - According to the avast! I can not remove the virus because it is the "Specified file is read only (6009). - Malwarebytes Anti-Malware does not be able to find it. - Ad-Aware only find some boring tracking cookies. - Ran CCleaner some hour ago, unsure if this helped. - HijackThis log (under) Note that explorer.exe is blocked + I cannot see my desktop icons.
