  1. Sorry but I don't know how to disable any script blocker. I use avast, and Malwarebyte Anti Malware and I run Ad aware once a week.
  2. I'll try all this. I want to play games that are on Facebook and it says to update my player click here so I do and it installs Adobe 10 (is all I remember deleting) and that's what did it - it may be Adobe 10 Flash player.
  3. I have a program called pdf viewer and I wanted to get Adobe so that I may play some of the games that are out there. Everytime I try to download it - it will say successfully installed but then my computer has ALOT of issues. My Firefox will freeze up all the time or it won't let me on at all I have had to run in safe mode with networking until I get it uninstalled and then it's fine. What am I doing wrong during installation or is it not really compatible with my Vista? I'm so clueless
  4. it worked! THANKS so much I don't know why I never noticed that zoom option - I found the fonts under tools and options. THANKS guys so much your the greatest Have a Happy and Blessed New Year
  5. my icons aren't bit and I did the CTRL + 0 button and it got way bigger - going to try the zoom out now
  6. I have a Dell laptop running Vista. When I'm on forums or Facebook (including this forum) the screen is HUGE. Like literally I have to scroll down using the bar on the side to hit reply. The bar on the side of this page currently is all the way to the top but I can't see the bottom of the box that I'm typing in. I have tried to go under tools, reduced font but nothing helps. Any suggestions what I can do?
  7. Perfect. I did update everything and I think I'm all set! Have a Happy Holiday with your family -_-
  8. So I'm okay with all 3 antispyware or should I just have one? I'm so sorry for the questions
  9. okay - I hate to show how technologically challenged I need one of each of these? # an outbound firewall. If you are connected to the internet through a router, you are already behind a hardware firewall and as such you do not need an extra software firewall. A comprehensive tutorial and a list of possible firewalls can be found here. # an AntiVirus Software It is imperative that you update your AntiVirus Software on regular basis. If you do not update your AntiVirus Software then it will not be able to catch the latest threats. # an Anti-Spyware program Malware Byte's Anti Malware is an excellent Anti-Spyware scanner. It's scan times are usually under ten minutes, and has excellent detection and removal rates. SUPERAntiSpyware is another good scanner with high detection and removal rates. Both programs are free for non commercial home use but provide a resident and do not nag if you purchase the paid versions. # Spyware Blaster A tutorial for Spywareblaster can be found here. If you wish, the commercial version provides automatic updating. # MVPs hosts file A tutorial for MVPs hosts file can be found here. If you would like automatic updates you might want to take a look at HostMan host file manager. For more information on thehosts file, and what it can do for you, please consult the Tutorial on the Hosts file I have avast and Window's Defender and ad aware that I fun myself do I need others? The one's above are better than the what I have? I'm so sorry - sometimes you really have to break it down for me in simple simple terms (I have a brain issue - like literally).... THANKS so much I do appreciate you greatly doing this
  10. in uninstalling the combofix it came up and said Bitdefencer antivirus and Bit Defender antispyware are still running and then asked me to continue at my own risk - it did not give me the rootkit or OTL option
  11. whoops forgot this is what it said C:\Users\Mikkii\AppData\Roaming\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\26\3a242c1a-4f12e534 multiple threats deleted - quarantined
  12. okay says it's been deleted Now should I take this program off my computer? or is it something I should use? I'm open to recommendations of course since I seem to be technologically challenged B)
  13. running the above scan - it has been running for 2 hours and 14 minutes and still going. Says it's on step 3 of 4 and it does say it has found 1 threat so far
