  1. @noknojon: yes, I followed the instructions. i copied the rules.ref and It's already updated. Thanks a lot. @yardbird: thanks. my problem is already solved.
  2. @noknojon: I have a pc which doesn't have an internet connection.
  3. I've already seen posts like this one like "Where to get manual updates?".. The answers lead to this site: http://malwarebytes.gt500.org/ I downloaded it today, the mbam-rules.exe. But when I installed it, it is far too old. Today is Dec. 1, 2010 and Malwarebytes' current database information is this: Date: 11/24/2010 Database version: 5184 Fingerprints loaded: 293209 Is there any other way I can get an up-to-date mbam-rules?
  4. I still got the error. I followed all the instructions. Attached is the result of ping / tracert. Maybe I'll just uninstall malwarebytes. Thanks for the help Ron. Very much appreciated. Also thanks to noknojon.
  5. Attached are the text files. Attach.zip DDS.zip
  6. I followed all your instructions but still got the error(disabled my antivirus). I'm using ESET Smart Security.
  7. "An error has occured. Please report this error code to our support team. MBAM_ERROR_UPDATING(122, 0, MultiByteToWideChar) The data area passed to a system call is too small." -- This is the error when I try to update malwarebytes on Windows 7 but works on Windows XP. I'm using v1.46. I connect to the internet through a proxy server. My proxy settings are correct. WORKS on XP, NOT on 7.
