  1. I have used Norton for years and not sure about other products. When you open Norton and click on History you get the screen below and there is a Show window to select what type of History you want such as Live Updates, Scans Results and so on. MB could have the Report button to open a similar window and have a choice to what you want. (Scan Reports, Updates, Website Blocks) On Norton you can clear the results in any area or all the History.

  2. I have Norton Security and it has a menu to access the History of the product. One of the items is Live Update which will show the information of each update and will even list what definitions were updated. It takes a few clicks to get to the information but it is available and easy to get to.

They call with there concerns and try to talk them through a workaround is next to impossible.

OK, I understand your concern. I guess you can tell them if it says Current it has been updated recently (within 24hrs).

I have been getting updates about every 4 hours but it varies. If my systems have been off for over 24 hrs I get the out of date warning.

Right, unacceptable I want this feature as I check clients PC's making sure there updates are indeed working.

You have no idea updates are taking place!

How are you checking your clients PC's? Are you just calling and asking or are you accessing their systems to check? One note is that MB will flag the product if it has not been updated within 24hrs. If you are accessing their system then my log file workaround should be all you need.

  5. Update Current means MB was updated within 24 hrs. There is a update log that will show you when updates were done.

Go to C:/ProgramData/Malwarebytes/MBAMService and look at dbupdate.log text file. In that same folder it will also show the update files (.mbdb) with their date.

  6. There was a post on here a while back on the meaning of Updates: Current but can't find it. Something about it was Current within a 24 hr period as there is an option to notify if the updates were older than 24 hrs. Maybe they could change that to the date and time of the last update on your system as that is logged as shown in my last post.

Also there are 4 products included in MB 3 and I would suspect that as each ones database is updated it is included in an update package as they probably are not all updated at the same time.

  7. OK I found out what was going on.

There is a problem with Norton Smart Firewall where Facebook will hang. Disabling Norton Smart Firewall will unlock Facebook but some times you have to Recover the Page. When this happen I get the Event 1000 for Edge and also FRST scan shows the Code Integrity error with MB mbae64.dll at the same time.

A lot of people at Norton Forum have reported the Facebook hang and linked it to the Norton Smart Firewall.

When Facebook hangs just turning off and back on the Norton Smart Firewall will clear Facebook for a while.

  8. Not that I am aware of. I have been checking some options and doing some scan testing.

I usually have Edge open when I am on my system.

I will monitor my event log and see when it happens and what I am doing at the time.

Everything is working fine and I usual don't worry about event errors but I saw another post where someone reported this and that is why I looked into it.

I will post back if I see this event again,

FRST reveals many instances of this issue::

Description: Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume2\Windows\SystemApps\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\MicrosoftEdgeCP.exe) attempted to load \Device\HarddiskVolume2\Program Files\Malwarebytes\Anti-Malware\mbae.dll that did not meet the Store signing level requirements.

I can PM FRST files to devs if requested

I am getting same event errors with the new Beta 3.1.1.1722. I may have gotten them with 3.1.0.1716 but cleared my Event log.

I ran FRST64 and in Addition file it showed a bunch of these.

  10. Here are my scan results on my W10 desktop. All scans had every thing checked. 371,000 items.

Ver 3.0.6.1469  Scheduled Scan 2:53 min CPU hit 95%

Ver 3.1.0.1716 Scheduled Scan 9:40 min CPU hit 30%

Ver 3.1.0.1716 Manual Scan Low Priority 9:16 min CPU hit 30%

Ver 3.1.0.1716 Manual Scan High Priority 3:46 min CPU hit 95%

Scheduled Scan must be at High Priority on 3.0.6.1469 and Low Priority on 3.1.0.1716.

I like it like that and if I need a faster scan I can change the Priority to High for the Manual Scan,

  11. Apparently the update from 3.0.5 to 3.0.6 is not working right.

Under Settings/Applications Update you can try Install Application Updates but if it still does not work try the Mb-Clean route as noted below.

The newest version is 3.0.6.1469 CP 1.0.103.

    https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/198624-malwarebytes-306-cu41-latest-version/

Read this thread to use Mb-clean to uninstall old version and install the newest.
