It does need an explanation but it says "Know your e-mail address" and not access your E-mail. I just got it yesterday and will be looking for more information from Malwarebytes. Typical of Malwarebytes - release it and update the forums later. Jim 😁

The Chrome version has been updated to Malwarebytes Browser Guard and did an auto update on Edge Beta (chromium) and Vivaldi. The Firefox version is still the Beta 1.47. Jim 😎

Feature update to Windows 10, version 1903
Phone Man replied to syrob's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Why does Malwarebytes need to be registered with the Action Center.? It will still work the same even if there is no other AV on your system. Jim 😎 -
Windows Defender periodic analysis
Phone Man replied to IdefixPC's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
On my systems I select "never" as I am running Norton Security and Norton disables Defender. If I remove Norton then Defender will come alive. I have not seen a good reason to have Malwarebytes register with the action center. Jim 😎 -

In Malwarebytes check Settings-Application-Windows Action Center and select "Never register Malwarebytes in the Windows Action Center". I have 3 system with Malwarebytes 3.7.1.2879 and W10 1903 with this setting and all is fine. Jim 😎 -

In Malwarebytes check Settings-Application-Windows Action Center and select "Never register Malwarebytes in the Windows Action Center". Then use the default settings in Windows Defender and they will play nice together. Jim 😎 -

Not compatible with windows 10 version 1809
Phone Man replied to Nirjonadda's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
I just tried stopping the various protection and the only one that made a change in the Windows Security report was turning off Malware Protection and MBAM disappeared from the report.. Turning off the other protections made no change . It is kind of useless having MBAM registered with the Action Center. Jim ? -

I normally don't register MBAM with the Action Center. I just did it and this is mine. If you open Mbam what does it show? -

Where are you seeing this. Do your have MBAM set to register with the Action Center? If so you may want to change it to Never register. -
There are not any Lifetime license for sale anymore. They stopped a few years ago. All new license are 1 year. The new license just have a Key only. Old Lifetime Licence had a Key + ID. The install script defaults to Key only and there should be a check block if you have an old License with Key + ID. Jim ?

Components Package 1.0.391
Phone Man replied to Phone Man's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
I no longer do Beta and a lot of people would not know to go to the Beta forum to get information on a release. I feel an updated change notice or release notes should be posted on this forum when an update is released. Jim -
Components Package 1.0.391
Phone Man replied to Phone Man's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
I saw that earlier but the Beta site has more information but I am not clear on the current status. Jim -
I received this CP 1.0.391 today and the only release notes are on the Beta page and is 5 days old. Are there updated release notes? Jim

Malwarebytes not updating
Phone Man replied to shadows19201's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Mine just started updating. -
Just a heads up. MS released 1803 Build 17134 to fast ring today to fix problems with 17133. It will be tested in the Fast ring and move to Slow ring for more testing and then to Release Preview. Hopefully it will test OK and then released to the general public is the next few weeks. Hello Windows Insiders!Today, we are releasing Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17134 (RS4) to Windows Insiders in the Fast ring. This build has no new features and includes the fixes from KB4100375 as well as some fixes for general reliability of the OS. As Build 17133 progressed through the rings, we discovered some reliability issues we wanted to fix. In certain cases, these reliability issues could have led to a higher percentage of (BSOD) on PCs for example. Instead of creating a Cumulative Update package to service these issues, we decided to create a new build with the fixes included. This just reinforces that Windows Insiders are critical to helping us find and fix issues before releasing feature updates to all our customers so thank you!No downtime for Hustle-As-A-Service,Dona <3

On my systems running Insider Build 17133.73 that option is OFF by default and that is why I did not have a problem. I turned it ON and after a restart MB Exploit Protect was OFF and would not turn on. I turned Memory Integrity OFF and after a restart MB is fine. I had to use the Reg file from the tutorial to turn it OFF. Jim

I run the Chrome version on Vivaldi and do not use any other ad blockers and my system runs clean. It does a good job of blocking ads. Jim

Exploit Protection turned off
Phone Man replied to Microtan's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
It is a know problem with Insider Build 17133. I recently installed W10 1803 Build 17133.1 from Slow ring and will stay on 3.4.4 until a fix is released. MB is working on the fix and should be ready very soon. I have a post over at Honorary Members on this problem. Jim- 17 replies

MS required QualityCompat Key
Phone Man replied to Phone Man's topic in Malwarebytes for Windows Support Forum
Looks like MS is still requiring the key. I have 2 systems that were not offered a cumulative update yesterday. KB4089848. Tried a bunch of times and no update. The key was missing and I added the key and then WU offered the update. Other people have seen the same thing. Both systems are running up to date Windows 10 1709 64it. One is running Windows Defender and the other Norton Security and both have MB Premium. I don't know what MS is doing but when I fail to get an update from WU my first move is to add the key. Confused but got it covered. Jim
