  1. exile360, your answers are extremely complete, detailed and easy to understand. I hope there is a way for your answers to be 'pinned' somehow to these types of questions. Thanks again.
  2. Thank you exile360 for a most in depth and complete answer. Great job. One question, if one is using a vpn (NordVPN for example) is one faced with the same issues that "guard' protects from or does the 'vpn' protect against these types of attacks because of the encryption and the 'false' IP address??
  3. Rather than using another 'extension' any chance that this 'Guard' will be "built-into" the premium version of Malwarebytes at a future date? So I guess the question is, why not include it in as a Malwarebyte update?
  4. Is malwarebytes Browser Guard included/part of the Malwarebytes premium app or does it have to be installed in 'addition to' ?
  5. Followed your step # 1 and it worked! Thanks for the support and very quick response. It was great and much appreciated.
  6. Same problem here this morning after updating premium win7 64x version. Had pop-up update notification.
  7. Have licensed premium version (Win7 64x). Had update program notification this morning. After doing so, the program won't start and says 'can't connect to server". Please help ASAP. Tks..
  8. Same experience as Sarton with MSE and MBAM. Have both running for yrs and no problems. Just make sure 'schedule scans' are NOT schedule at the same time. I too remember reading something about MSE not being as capable as other antivirus programs in real-time detection and protection. My take away after reading that article was to always practice good internet surfing, email, opening attachments, etc etiquette. MSE is user-friendly and doesn't take over your computer like so many other antivirus programs do. True it may not be in the top rated programs, but running alongside of MBAM, I haven't
  9. Tks Firefox. It worked. I thought I had already tried that setting, but got no results. This morning however, I checked the 'log file' and found that the program ran on schedule and then 'disappeared' as I had hoped.
  10. WIN7:SP1:IE9: Is there a way to have MBAM 1.51 close the 'quick scanner screen' after the scan finishes (when no threat is found), rather than having to do it yourself? I tried various scanner settings to do this (no boot however) but can't find the right setting. I have scanner settings to run automatically, but would like the scanner screens to close if no threats are found. A log file is still created.
