  1. Can't seem to find somewhere to donate so will just purchase the software. Thanks again.
  2. Hello again. here's an update. After disabling TDSSserv.sys, Malwarebytes shows no problems on restart and the problem APPEARS to be solved. After some reseach and yet more searching on the web for similarly afflicted colleagues I deduced that my problem was the go.google virus and I can only assume that it is in some way connected to Antivirus 2009. However despite most searches indicating the Malwarebytes solved the problem the following entry in the 'infectedbybugs' forum proved to be an essential step in my case to getting Malwarebytes to run effectively. Following is the entry from Mike........................................................... Go to Start > Control Panel > System > Hardware > Device Manager > View > Show Hidden Devices. 3. Thanks you for all the advice and guidance. Have done the following: 1. Downloaded HijackThis, updated Malwarebytes, run scan, removed problems, saved scan(LOG #1), restarted system 2. Ran HijackThis (LOG #2) 3. At this point I expected not to be able to access the Malwarebytes site/forum but amazingly I could so I knew the problem had not returned on restart. So immediately restarted the system to see if the problem had disappeared for good. 4. On the second restart the problem was back so ran Hijackthis again(LOG # 3) 5. In order to temporarily fix/bypass the problem so I could access the Malwarebytes site, I ran Malwarebyes scan WITHOUT restart(LLOG # 4). 6. Accessed the forum and copied in the logs. 7. Hope you can help or suggest my next steps. Thanks again. 4. I have a browser problem which disappears after my MalwareBytes scan as long as I do not implement the restart. Also if I do a second scan (with or without restarting) I always get betwwen 3 and 6 errors. I have updated with the latest Malwarebytes software but the problem remains. As soon as the system restarts, searches (Explorer or Firefox) are directed to random sites and antivirus site( eg Malwarebytes) are blocked ... 'unable to display webpage'. I have been wrestling with the problem for 3 days and am at a loss where to go from here. The initial problem was caused by Antivirus 2009 which I cleaned with AdwareAlert, as I didn't know any better! Can you help?
