  1. I found that Comodo has blocked the process mbamservice.exe three times, one week apart at 06:02 so that seems to be a partial explanation I cannot see anything blocking the daily 05:30 update I'll contine searching
  2. I forgot to mention that this PC is switched on 27/7 Thanks for you help
  3. I always had "Download and install program update if available" checked. I did delete the scheduled items and started again ... I'll give this another try. Windows XP SP3 (32 bit) MBAM 1.46 Version 5035 (I just manually updated it as I normally do every 3/4 days) Avira Free antivirus & Comodo 3.9 firewall And I use a wired router. I have the 24 hour clock chosen in international options which may explain why AM/PM does not come up. I wish MB would follow my preffered date format throughout .... When setting a schedule I have my preffered dd/mm/yyyy but on the update I get the wonky mm/dd/yyyy version
  4. I've tried every combination that I can think of, but I have never suceeded in getting MB to perform a scheduled update or scan. Am I missing something obvious ? (JPG of settings attached)
  5. Right after the blocked message, Right Click on the malwarebytes icon in the system tray. Go down to "add to ignore list >" and select the IP you wish to allow.
  6. Also had to allow 213.174.153.98
  7. This site was blocked on first use of MB in protection mode. My Cookie was somehow deleted. I had to put these into my ignore list .......... 213.174.140.81 213.174.152.106
  8. Thanks for the replies. I was reading post #4 of this .... http://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=62245 and I thought I was doing the right thing by following this advice ... "With malware infections being as they are today, it's strongly recommended to have this pre-installed on your machine before doing any malware removal." Anyhow, it would not install, so no harm was done.
  9. Can I use the the same consumer license on my desktop PC and on my Laptop (or do I need to purchase 2 licenses)
  10. Here is an important step you should take .... Use Firefox with the "noscripts" add-on (all free)
  11. I don't have a malware problem, but I decided to follow recommendations found on this site and install Combofix.exe ... just in case. However, I cannot install it. I keep getting this error ...... CPScript Name Error ================================ Were you trying to run CPScript ? The name CPScript appears to be incorrectly spelt ================================ (I'm running XP SP3, Avira is disabled and I left the Comodo Door Open)
