  2. 'Haider' date='Sep 27 2010, 08:31 AM' post='319146'] swagger @ Sep 26 2010, 07:06 PM) Buttons @ Sep 26 2010, 06:43 PM. Firefox @ Sep 23 2010, 03:23 PM Hello and greetings to all of you, You guys are a must at this forum. I must compliment you on your timely responses to this thread and the comittment to assisting all members of your forums. I thank you each respectively for your replies. Haider: with respect to your inquiry, I have not been experienceing any of the symptoms mentioned by your goodself except that I was knocked out by a virus about three months ago when not one of my security programs detected it. I had to do a clean install which was not properly done resulting in my having to do another. A review of the events caused me to pay attention and recall what I had noticed about the security prior thereto. Hence my post (however not before observing the behaviour of all those programs). Swagger: Your reasoning with respect to the problem has caused me to better understand how the programs work and has relieved my anxiety. Buttons: It's not often that I miss out on certain information. You caught me there. Firefox: You caught me there too. I usually give my system info at the beginning of any new post. That omission will not reoccur. In closing I am indeed greatful for your kind attention. Keep up the good work. Best regards. Bassy2
  3. 'swagger' date='Sep 26 2010, 07:06 PM' post='318892'] Hello swagger, Thank you for the reply/question. I have run Mbam consecutively on many occasions. I have run SuperAntispyware on several occasions thereafter and SAP found the malware/spyware. Avast has not reported many instances of malware/spyware/rootkits although it is rogrammed so to do. I also use spyware blaster. Don't see that it does much but I do use Ccleaner to clean up afte using my system. Best I can say is that Mbam reports nothing. I have been scanning with Mbam before using the other scanners. Thats my cause for concern. Your views and/or comments I am sure will be of good value. Thanks again. Bassy2

  7. Hi all, I have been using the free version MLWAREBYTES for neigh three years or more. It worked beautifully. Always had something to pick up. Over time though probably about 1.5 years nothing when I scan. but my other malware program finds quite a few things every day. Don't know what the prblem is as I have uninstalled and re-installed. I am thankful for assistance with this problem. Bassy2
