My Premium Malwarebytes Anti-Malware suddenly claims that [1] Your databases are out of date [2] Unable to access update server When I started my computer this morning, I experienced no problems. When I started it this afternoon MBAM 'malfunctioned'. It did try to fix it by checking if the service of MBAM (services.msc) but that showed no problems. Running Windows 8 Please advice.

We've chosen the name Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware precisely because we wanted it to be different from all those fake anti-virus, anti-spyware and anti-malware names that we target. They all have fancy names (much like malware assassin) and we wouldn't want to associated with them. Heh. That wouldn't be a bad idea though.

Tested it again. B) Now my avast AV informs me that the harmless PlaceboAV is now itself a Win32: Trojan-gen {other}. That must surely be a false positive and I already informed Andrew Clover/doxdesk about it.
