Thanks for your reply. I'm sorry, but it doesn't work. I have tried your suggestions exactly several times. If I end the installation with choosing booth update database and start MBAM I get the same error message immediately. If I just start MBAM I can run it, but at next update I get the error and after that MBAM can't be started again. Any ideas?

Hi, I get error MBAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE (0,5) when trying to start MBAM on a computer running Windows 7. Following earlier advice in this forum I deleted rules.ref. On next try to start MBAM I accept the database download. Then I get the same MBAM_ERROR_LOAD_DATABASE (0,5) again. What to do? Gunnar
