  1. Elise, Thank you very much for all of you help. It is greatly appreciated.
  2. Elise, Scan completed and attached is the log file eset_log.txt
  3. Scan has completed. Attached is the log report. mbam_log_2010_08_19__14_17_21_.txt
  4. Elise, I ran the fix, all 3 succeeded, and MBAM does open and run. Thank You
  5. Elise, I have updated to Service Pack 3 and all other updates have complete.
  6. I do not have a CD for Windows XP Home Edition SP 2. The laptop did not come with any re-install discs. I do have a desktop available running Windows XP Professional SP 3. Would it be possible to use the OS disc or copy the file from that computer.
  7. Elise, I ran OTL again, and received the following log: ========== FILES ========== File c:\windows\system32\regsvr32.exe successfully replaced with C:\WINDOWS\SoftwareDistribution\Download\e9500597a78495f397efb821e37bf356\regsvr32.exe OTL by OldTimer - Version 3.2.9.1 log created on 08182010_112939 Also, the computer did not reboot and I received the following pop up: Windows File Protection "File that are required for Windows to run properly have been replaced by unrecognized versions. To maintain system stability, Windows must restore the original versions of these files. Insert your Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 CD Now" The popup window has 3 action options: Retry, More Information, Cancel
  8. Elise, Sorry for the delay in response. I followed the steps in the post, and have found that the regsvr32.exe file is missing. Unfortunatly, I do not have another computer to copy this file from. Thanks
  9. I ran the utility, system rebooted, and reinstalled MBAM. Seems to install ok, but receive the same error messages as before and program will not open Run-time error '0' and run-time error '440'
  10. I downloaded and installed MBAM, went throught the full install, checked boxes for "update MBAM" and "Run MBAM". The Install window closed and I received the following messages: vbAccelerator SGridII Control Run-time error '0' Clicked "ok" to close window and proceed Received: Malwarebytes' AntiMalware Run-time error '440' Clicked "ok" to close window and proceed. At this point nothing happens.
  11. Operation seems to be greatly improved. Smooth transition between windows and programs. Response time for actions( open, close, minimize, maximize) has greatly improved. This is right in line with where we were before running the Harddisk Scan. ComboFix.txt
  12. Yes, it seemed to be fixed after the initial run. All programs were running smoothly, transition betweem programs was greatly improved. Program windows would not freeze.
  13. It is the browser loading speed that seems slow. When minimizing window, the window stutter- not a smooth transition to minimized view. Also, the desktop will appear empty with no icons, following a 10-15 second delay, the desktop will appear normal. When maximizing the window also stutters- no smooth transition. Once at full screen view, the page will freeze for 10-15 seconds before becoming operational.
  14. Harddisk scan has completed. Scan ran very quickly and did not return and comments for errors being found. However, upon first starting Internet it seems as slow in opening, loading, navigating pages, minimizing/maximizing as prior to running Combofix.
