does yours always crashes on the same file? Mine always crashed at windows\windowsupdate.log

check my post today, i had pretty much the same issue, but I was able to get it fixed by changing the "Language for non-unicode programs" back to "English"(Control Panel->Regional and Language Options). It was set to non-enligh language though so not sure if you have the same case. It does looks like the newest update is causing issues for both of us though because mbm never gave me any trouble till now.

Hi, I already tried the mbm-clean method and still got the same issue. Also, I'm using the free version. However, I was able to fix it by changing the "Language for non-unicode programs" back to "English"(Control Panel->Regional and Language Options) It was set to asian languages for localized testing, however the setting hasn't been changed for years and MBM never gave me any problems till the newest update. updated today, and keep getting crashes at exact the same file: windows\windowsupdate.log tried the mbam-clean method, still doesn't work. Then tried to run the scan without update(fresh 1.46 install), no crashes... Any ideas??
