  1. Thanks Firefox, before I proceed further with the instructions in post #3 above, do you want me to leave the Malware Protection in Malwarebytes enabled or do I leave it disabled and do need to do the Cortana part when using FRST and MB-Check?
  2. Forgot to mention that I am typing in english so not using the Input Method Editors from NJStar Communicator, here is a video that shows what happens when I click on the "Type here to search" box immediately followed by typing the word test. Without Malware Protection Enabled in Malwarebytes, you can see Cortana open up completely with the Greeting on the top and I can immediately type the word "test". With Malware Protection Enabled in Malwarebytes, clicking on Cortana will not completely open up as the Greeting on the top is gone and typing the word "test" is not getting inputted in the search box. Sometimes it will allow just the first letter "t" to show but Cortana appears to hang as it won't close.
  3. Current system has the following: Malwarebytes v3.3.1.2183 Component package v1.0.262 Update package v1.0.3643 Running Windows 10 Home Edition x64 with Fall Creators Update. Had the problem since Creators Update if not earlier as I did not get a chance to trouble shoot until now. It appears that when NJStar Communicator v3.30 - http://www.njstar.com/cms/njstar-communicator-download is running, Cortana and Windows search is lagging and having issues with input as even clicking on the "Type here to search" box causes a hang of Cortana's window from opening without hanging. I did a clean boot and basically disabled all services except Microsoft services and manually added each service to reproduce the problem and the problem only appears when the MBAMService is running and enabling all Startup items without MBAMService running did not have the issue either. The MBAMService was not the issue as basically I re-enabled the service so it ran and right clicking MalwareBytes in the System Tray: Web Protection Enabled does not cause issues Exploit Protection Enabled does not cause issues Ransomware Protection Enabled does not cause issues But once Malware Protection Enabled would cause the problem mentioned but as soon as Malware Protection is off while Web Protection, Exploit Protection and Ransomware Protection are all Enabled, the problem is gone. Hopefully this can be fixed in the near future as the only remedy now is either to kill the NJStar Communicator Processes NJCOM32.exe and NJCOM64.exe when I need to use Cortana or disabling the Malware Protection in Malwarebytes.
  4. Interesting, not sure how someone can accidentally exclude sites if they clicked and confirmed it so maybe a second question of are you sure would work since after that many confirmation levels, it's the users fault if they claimed they accidentally excluded sites.
  5. Just a thought but is it possible to add a exclusion option when looking at the quarantine or website is blocked and other popups so that when one hits the button, the correct item is added to the exclusions without having to manually define the website or the file for example?
  6. I recently installed Malwarebytes Anti-Malware v3.1.2.1733. Before the installation, there is no Malwarebytes listed in Apps & features or Programs and Features in Windows 10 Home x64 v1703 Build 15063.413. However, it seems after installing, there are two entries in both Apps & features or Programs and Features in Windows: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware versione 2.2.1.1043 Malwarebytes version 3.1.2.1733 The Malwarebytes version 3.1.2.173 should be there but is Malwarebytes Anti-Malware versione 2.2.1.1043 supposed to be there because I have uninstalled Malwarebytes version 3.1.2.173 and both entries are gone but as soon as I install Malwarebytes version 3.1.2.1733, the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware versione 2.2.1.1043 is there in addition to Malwarebytes version 3.1.2.1733. I even used Revo Uninstaller to force uninstall the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware versione 2.2.1.1043 entry which deleted the registry entries for it so it no longer appeared but reinstalling Malwarebytes version 3.1.2.173 brought the entry back. Thanks!
