Thanks a lot for the update for MBAM 2.0.3.1025. Works great and all the bugs fixed

Thanks Firefox. I choose the MalwareBytes wallpaper and Your Antivirus needs a wingman with 2560x1440. This size looks good on my laptop.

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Update to 2.0.1
kiwi4life replied to RubbeR DuckY's topic in Malwarebytes News
Thanks Sir Marcin and to all the MBAM team. Successfully updated to the the new version MBAM Free Edition 2.0.1. Updated it over 2.0.0 Thanks for the new update. A very happy MBAM Free user -
I am confused .That's for MBAM 1.75 where u can do seperate update for program updates and definitions updates? I don't see any of those in MBAM 2.0 Free Edition? Any info will be very much appreciated? Like Panda Cloud Antivirus Free Edition and for Pro Edition it has transparent program updates so it will automatically install program updates (when available) and it will work without having to rely on user's actions. So I thought MBAM are following these sorts of system.

Unable to do right-click scans

Thanks for all the information . For me Add/remove works just fine I just always make sure it deletes all the folders and files that the add/remove method doesn't do sometimes. So I use Revo so it will uninstall the program along with other folders and files. Next time I will use the MBAM Clean Removal Process By the way, do we need to run the MBAM Clean Removal Process on safe mode, because many antivirus software removal tool have to run it on windows safe mode? -
Unable to do right-click scans

Oh okay fair enough, I can deal with that . I uninstalled MBAM 1.75 Free Edition via Revo Uninstaller, restarted my laptop, and installed MBAM 2.0 Free Edition. I did the same for my desktop. -

Oh I see. Thanks. -
In the new version of MBAM 2.0 Free Edition I can't do a right - click scan on folders and files. I have to open up MBAM program in order to do that? Is this a new behavior or a bug? In MBAM 1.75 I was able to do a right-click scan on folders and files from my computer, usb, and my external hard disk...

Oh I am sorry! Didn't realize it.... Won't happen again

One another thing. After you install a fresh new copy of Avast and after avast finishes a automatic startup scan. Restart your computer manually again and register your copy of avast.

Hello spokes, I am a long time Avast Antivirus Free Edition user since Avast! 7. Did you have any previous antivirus installed before you installed Avast and also what antivirus your computer had when you bought it? Run the previous antivirus uninstall utility in safe mode. Link is here http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN146 As for avast, do the following: 1) Uninstall it via add/remove. Follow instructions. 2) Run this tool in safe mode http://www.avast.com/en-nz/uninstall-utility 3) Run this tool in normal mode http://rejzor.wordpress.com/avast-cleanup-tool/ Note: In that link scroll down a bit and you will see a Zip folder of Avast Cleanup Tool. Click on that link and download it and follow the instructions. After you run that tool in normal mode, restart your computer manually again. 4) Install a fresh copy of avast

Introducing Malwarebytes Anti-Malware 2.0!
kiwi4life replied to RubbeR DuckY's topic in Malwarebytes News
Oh one another thing that I have noticed from MBAM 1.75 to MBAM 2.0 and that is it is very light system resources. MBAM 1.75 doing a scan it sometimes lags my laptop with programs that I run and etc etc. MBAM 2.0 no complaints about that kudos and thumbs up to all of you guys worked hard on this one -

Oh no! I am not facing any issues or wat so ever! Here's an example when SuperAntiSpyware does a malware update it get posted on their website and in their program On their website http://www.superantispyware.com/definitions.html. For Norton, http://www.symantec.com/security_response/definitions.jsp, and etc etc
-
Hi! Like all other internet security, antivirus programs, SuperAntiSpyware, and etc after each update they post their updated database of new/updated malware database within their program and in their website? I can't and don't find it in MBAM. Do MBAM have a link to their new/updated malware database in their website? If not, consider this as a new feature that I want to see when they renovate MBAM website.
-
Your welcome . So any ETA of when that will be happening?

I am a home user and I don't want to test out beta products. I will just wait for the final release
