  1. It is a known issue. There is, however, a patch available to all paid users of MBAM. Simply contact support@malwarebytes.org to be sent a link to this patch, but be sure to provide your Cleverbridge/Malwarebytes reference number in your email. Otherwise, you can wait for it to be officially released via an update.
  2. Yes, though I also include those under the scan exclusions, too.
  3. They are compatible with each other, even in real-time. I have currently been running both for a while now, in addition to SuperAntiSpyware in real-time. I do, however, make sure to make the precautionary exceptions in NIS scan and active monitoring control. The following should be excluded (may vary, depending upon whether or not you have a 32- or 64-bit Windows operating system): C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamgui.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamservice.exe C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\zlib.dll C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbam.dll C:\Program Files\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\mbamext.dll C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware\rules.ref C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbam.sys C:\Windows\System32\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys Of course, if you have a 64-bit version of Windows, you would navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86) folder instead. Vista and Windows 7 will have a C:\Users\AppData folder instead of C:\Documents and Settings\Application Data. Be sure to also exclude C:\Windows\SysWOW64\drivers\mbamswissarmy.sys if you have 64-bit Windows.
  4. Ah, so it hasn't been released officially. That's okay, I'll wait. Thanks again for addressing the issue.
  5. Was it addressed in the form of an update or do I need to download and reinstall a newer version?
  6. Well, after trying lots of options and reinstalling some more, I finally got hourly updates to work. Realtime updates still do not work, however, which is somewhat disappointing. I suppose in the meantime that hourly updates are plenty adequate in terms of overall protection. I'd still prefer the realtime updates to work as they did before, though.
  7. Any particular steps the aforementioned community member followed for the realtime updates to begin working again?
  8. As the title suggests, I can no longer get MBAM to automatically update in real time. I've uninstalled the program several times, run mbamclean, reinstalled, etc. Nothing works. I've even tried hourly, which also does not work. I've noticed that some of the program files have changed, so wouldn't the exceptions I normally add to NIS need to be changed as well? Which specific files in the new version need to be changed? I can only hope that is the issue... Thanks in advance
  9. Hmm, the /AUTO command still works, so I'll keep it deleted, I guess.
  10. I do have CCleaner set to the /AUTO function via the task scheduler. Would that do it?
  11. Okay, so I also scanned with SAS Pro, which also identified it as the same threat. I went ahead and deleted the file after both what I've seen here and from the second program. Also, I checked the original installer and, as it did before, it prompted me to install the Yahoo toolbar. I deleted that one and re-downloaded the same installer from Piriform. This time, it did not come bundled with the toolbar functions...? I'm not sure what happened or how it happened, to be honest. I re-scanned everything with MBAM, SAS, and Norton, none of which found any threats this time around after re-installing CCleaner with the newly downloaded installer. Weird?
  12. No, it's not modified to my knowledge. I've used CCleaner for years with MBAM and this is the first I've seen. I figured either I got an infected version or the new 64-bit version of CCleaner is giving a false positive.
  13. Oops, meant to include this mbam_log_2010_10_28__20_37_03_.txt
  14. After installing the new CCleaner 3.0 from Piriform's site today, MBAM picked up the following entry as: security.hijack HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Image File Execution Options\CCLEANER.EXE I have Windows 7 Home Premium x64 and the x64 version of the new CCleaner is the one installed, specifically 3.00.1303. For the time being, I'm ignoring the detected threat, as I don't want anything to happen to CCleaner. Thanks in advance
  15. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind next time. Fortunately, this problem kinda resolved itself with a bit of prodding. I uninstalled and reinstalled the program, which didn't work initially. I then did it a second time with the same results. Oddly enough, the third time was a charm and it began updating in real time again. Not entirely sure what had happened, as there were no error messages, nor anything in the logs (except that they had previously shown that there had been no updates for something like 4 days prior to this).
  16. I don't. I almost did, until I started reading a correlation between failed MBAM updates and it being installed.
  17. Well that kinda sucks. I had read about the issues others were having, but this is the first time I've experienced it, fortunately (or unfortunately). While you seem to be able to get the hourly update to work, none of it works for me anymore. I've since disabled SASPro, since I was having an issue with one of the processes hanging. This all occurred right around the same time, oddly enough. Maybe a NIS update?
  18. As of yesterday, for whatever reason, realtime updates or any other scheduled updates no longer function. There are no apparent errors, etc., unless I'm looking in the wrong place. I have NIS 2010 and SuperAntiSpyware, which have cooperated with each other for a long time now. I have added the necessary exclusions for each program respectively from the start, as well, to minimize any potential for conflict. System details: W7 Home Premium x64 MBAM 1.46 database version 4264, which had to be updated manually just now to 4265 SASPro 4.39.1002 NIS 17.7.0.12 Any help would be greatly appreciated and if there is any information that I did not include, please let me know. Thanks in advance
