  1. . What is this DNS Poisoning ? I've started to hear of this in the last few months. .
  2. . Hello Borislav. Thank you for your assistance. When I go to the 'Control Panel' and click Add/Remove Programs I get the following message in a pop-up window - C:\WINDOWS\system32\rundll32.exe Application not found. This seems to have occurred after we ran Avira Antivir Personal (it found rogue malware and removed it). I thinking the malware also corrupted the registry ? .
  3. . All records of my scans had been disappearing after the scan ends (when I click 'OK' and there are no records). I followed the directions given to me by Blaze and I downloaded DeFogger and ran the Disable CD Emulation Drivers function. I then downloaded DDS and ran that tool, which resulted in 3 files, DDS.txt , Attach.zip , and ark.zip (all attached). I use Firefox as a browser. I understand that I am not to re-enable the CD Emulation Driers until I hear from an authorized Malwarebytes helper. However, my wife thinks she may have accidentally hit the re-enable button on the de-fogger tool before it was time. Could this action cause a problem ? . DDS.txt Attach.zip ark.zip
  4. . A G-mail issue has happened on my wife's lap-top 2 days ago. She had to obtain a verification code and re-established her G-mail account. Then she re-set her password using her laptop. Upon reading the excellent advice from Ron Lewis, Manager of Online Support, we again today re-set her password using a safe desk-top PC. However, another problem had started on her laptop almost immediately after the G-mail incident. She now has some kind of malware (rogue ?) that seems to be called 'defense center'. It's super annoying and in addition seems to have disabled the 'task manager' function. We've downloaded the Malwarebytes 1.46 and it completes the scan but a window pops up. The window states 'the scan has successfully completed' and contains a 'close' icon. However, when you close it everything disappears. You then have to re-start the scan all over again. We've done this 4 times with the same result. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. BTW, do you think her G-mail account is safe now ? .
