I should add that I want to follow the sticky at the top of the forum which says I'm infrected - What do I do now. But since the first step is to run Malwarebytes, and I can't, I haven't gotten very far. Please help!

I seem to have a common virus as I see references to it on numerous forums. It was suggested that I install your free product as it has helped so many with this virus. I have it installed. I have to right click and "run as administrator" on the .exe in order for it to run as the virus has disabled being able to run .exe's the usual way. If I run a Full or Quick Scan they both eventually lock up. I left it running overnight, so I know it never comes back. I have to reboot then, can't seem to kill the process. I then changed the Malwarebytes setting to just search the registry. It completes with 2 problems found, but when I click ok or the X on the popup screen saying it's complete and to view results, the whole GUI closes down. I've looked both closing to see if I can find a log being written, but I don't see one. Can someone please assist? Thanks!
