  1. Ok, I need more coffee it seems. I misread the above quoted comment. Still, have you tried SafeMode, just to rule out any issues with extensions/plugins?
  2. Have you tried running Firefox in "SafeMode" yet? Also, it might help if you would list your extensions and plugins. It's not a clean profile anymore when you restore certain functions from an old backup.

  4. I just noticed that KeyScrambler was listed under Known Isuses/Incompatibilities & Conflicts. Just wanted to state that I use both and never experienced a problem with it on Win 8.
  5. MBAE and MBAM run as background processes. You'll find them under the tab labeled "Processes".
