  1. I added Thunderbird to my custom shields and have no problems with it. Did you change the name of the preset profile "other" to "E-Mail"? Your post suggests that. Maybe therein lies the issue.
  2. I suppose it is the same. Only asked, because previously you only mentioned disabling MBAM's malware and website protection.
  3. More than likely it's because the default paths for log files have been changed in MBAE and MBAM. It's in %ProgramData%, not in %LocalAppData% or %CommonAppData%.
  4. Thanks, Pedro. I'm not worried about it, was just thinking that other heavy java use programs may suffer the same sluggishness. Minecraft comes to mind.
  5. Try the latest version 0.10.3.0100. https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146368
  6. Running the latest version of MBAE alongside with MP3 Rocket (mp3rocket.me) causes the latter to run slow as molasses. It's a java heavy application, so I'm guessing that's where the issue lies. The program does execute normally when MBAE's protection is stopped. Logs are attached. EMET is not installed. MBAE logs.rar
  7. Just like reboots are not required 99% of the time, yet some people still do them after every install/uninstall. I was under the impression that issue had been fixed, according to the thread you started: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146389 Pedro said so: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146097&page=2#entry816876 I shall work on my quantity of posts.
  8. The Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware (with the apostrophe) should be an old folder and save to delete. Malwarebytes changed that a good while back. mbamext.dll should not be in the MBAE folder at all as it belongs to MBAM, not MBAE. 109 kb is the correct (current) size.
  9. And if you happen to have MBAM v2.0.1 installed, make sure to disable the self-protection module in MBAM first.
  10. Try updating MBAE to version 0.10.3.0100. Uninstall MBAE Delete %ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Delete %AllUsersProfile%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Reboot Download version 0.10.3.0100 here: https://forums.malwa...howtopic=146368 Install
  11. Forgot to mention to disable the self-protection module in MBAM first.
  12. Try updating MBAE to version 0.10.3.0100. Uninstall MBAE Delete %ProgramFiles%\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Delete %AllUsersProfile%\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Exploit Reboot Download version 0.10.3.0100 here: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=146368 Install
  13. Since we're talking about feature requests, I'd like to see the main window of MBAM not opened when I right-click the taskbar icon and do a manual update check.
  14. As far as I am concerned, a notification for a successful update of the database is unnecessary. Notification if an update failed would be more efficient and informative.
  15. The link https://www.malwarebytes.org/getmbam to download the latest version refers to chip.de website still hosting 2.00 version of MBAM.
  16. Protection for new browsers: https://forums.malwarebytes.org/index.php?showtopic=137726
  17. Installed Java 8 before reading this, and did not experience the above described issue. Java is disabled in all browsers, so that might be why.
  18. pkolasa, you could try to disable AVG before installing MBAE and see if that might be causing issues.
  19. What happens when stop MBAE protection and specify a different download location, then enable protection again? Does the issue persist? You could try resetting the download folder. Type about:config in the address bar and confirm the warning message. In the search field, enter browser.download, you will find a few entries: browser.download.dir browser.download.downloadDir browser.download.folderList browser.download.lastDir browser.download.useDownloadDir If any of these have a status of user set, right click the entry and click 'reset' in the menu. Does it happen when downloading different file types? E.g. .exe, .pdf, .doc, .zip, etc.?
