I got infected with some spyware and couldn't run it in normal mode. I went to change the name in the program files to data.exe and was able to run a scan and found alot of infections. When I tried to go back and rename it to what it was before, it wouldn't run as originally. I then went to uninstall and then reinstall it. When I went to click on finish, I got this: Setup Unable to execute file C:\programfiles\malwarebytes\anti-malware\mbam.exe Create process failed; Code 5 Access is denied Can anyone help me here?

Sorry, when I open up AVG, the security componets, anti virus, anti spyware and resident shield need updating. When I tried to update them, it came back that the update failed. I am also having an issue with my Malwarebytes not running, I believe it got hijacked. Getting a RUNDLL error message after start up also.

When I click on the icon to load and run, a hourglass appears and then disappears. I've had this problen before but was hijacked by the "internet security 2010" virus and is was nasty. I had to call on a technician to fix it. My computer is running OK but my AVG antivirus won't let me update. I remember him changing the the file extension name from .exe to something else to run it. Can anyone help me on how to do this or give me someother suggestion?
